Re: Draft Day

You guys make it sound as if 100K actually means a damn in silicon valley. A huge part of the discrepancy is simply regional cost of living.

Heck, my former g/f made 100K as a paralegal (including overtime) here in DC. (also expensive area)

Take a look at union jobs around the country. You will find tons of folks doing fairly menial jobs clearing 100K with overtime in random little towns where cost of living is peanuts and you can buy a pretty nice house for 200K.

100K is hardly impressive in Silicon Valley.

i don't think this is the solution unless multiaccounting can somehow be made unprofitable. this sort of system just benefits the dishonest players. with that said, i'm not sure there is a good solution...
I have some ideas but we aren't at the point yet where this stuff really matters. Will get your opinion on it if and when it matters.

Re: Draft Day

ez,

"I really think the best fit for Taylor and DraftDay would've been some combination of: Battery, Bessemer, True, Accel, First Round"

True and FRC are obvious, really curious why you put the other three on this list of best fits for DraftDay. I do agree that Lightbank seems a really great fit for this type of business based in Chicago.

Re: Draft Day

Very impressed w/ this site. I made a small deposit late last week, and today received what looked to be a hand written thank you note for depositing with their site.

Just thought this was a very cool gesture that you see very little of, especially with websites.

Re: Draft Day

Really suprised none of the crew entered the One Drop
you could have probably sold most of the action i will assume and would have been good publicity and would have been +ev to play in it either way

Re: Draft Day

Has there been a big re-design of the website? I much preferred the original version iirc. For me the homepage now just looks like any other startups website which is a shame

Re: Draft Day

You can still use the old version. I also prefer the old style over the new.

We launched a big redesign of the lobby a few weeks ago, cleaning up some of the interface and adding icons to make the site easier on the eyes. There are a few different versions of it, including the compact view as well as a light/dark theme.

The old lobby is still available if you prefer it though, just use the "Previous Lobby" button on the right-hand side.

Also, we are working towards a completely mobile-optimized site. Thus far, we've added a mobile lobby and will be adding more mobile-friendly pages (scoring, drafting, etc) in the months to come.
