Crowdfunding

Hi,

For my master's thesis at the University of Antwerp, Belgium, I am conducting a research so as to determine what drives motiviation to participate financially in crowdfunded initiatives.

To do this I have set up a short survey and it would be of great help to me if you could take the time to answer this if you know what crowdfunding is about.

Answering this survey should take you no longer than 10 minutes and 3 respondents will be randomly picked and awarded a 20 euro cash prize which will be bank wired.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Crowdfunding

I thought crowdfunding as an investment is a huge legal issue.

I'm interested in the topic and your first question made me wonder what crowdfunding platforms or projects you have in mind?

Quote:
1. Please rate the following statements relating to investing in a crowdfunded initiative.

- Because of making an investment I expect to be better off financially in the future.
- I believe that making an investment of my choice will have a positive influence on my net worth in a number of years.
- When making an investment I expect to receive a positive financial return on it.
Kickstarter for instance, afaik it's the most popular crowdfunding platform by far and it explicitly does not allow investing in projects.

Are there platforms out there that have real traction and allow users to make investments in projects/businesses instead of donations/pre-sales?

Re: Crowdfunding

Wow, I wanted to help you out and fill out the survey. But the questions just seemed horrible to me. Especially the part with 'delighted', 'happy' and 'joyful'. I mean what do you expect people to fill out there? Three times the same thing?

So we have to give up our bank info if we win? Hmmm....
