A new financial system, and it's beautiful.

No, it's not bitcoin, though it is reliant on bitcoin. The organization's called Bitshares. They have just launched a distributed banking system. They refer to it as the future of banking and indeed it might be! It enables peer to peer trade of assets like US dollars, and silver. A creation of the profoundly inspiring Daniel Larimer, and his team. The system works because of concepts in game theory (you should appreciate that). These 'pegged assets', as they're being called, change in value just as their counterparts do. One can store and trade gold, without the need of a centralized body, without counterparty risk. Also, all assets held incur a yield that's atm between 1-3% and is expected to average 5% annually.

This system is a tool of liberty. A path to freedom, maybe not for you, but for billions around the globe. And super ****ing cool so check it out.

I wouldn't dismiss it easily...

It's pretty highly flawed and is a lot of hand waving. But hey, promise of risk-free money, definitely not a scam!

If your absurd hyperbole isn't a clue to how shady this is, this analysis says it all: Bitshares: Don't walk away, RUN!!!

Pick a Ghandi quote...

More important though than the possible investment is the capacity to empower billions of unbanked people around the world. To send value pegged to real world assets around the globe in seconds is worth it to awe over.

Think you posted in the wrong thread, as it has nothing to do with Bitscam.

whenever you click a link on a website that says "how it works" and it doesnt convince you within 2 minutes you should run.

For me, after the first sentence I knew it was going downhill.

It's one of the worst "how it works" pages I've seen.

Look who it appeals to. It has this "too good to be true" vibe to it, and then the explanation is fairly technical and hard to follow, so you just assume you can't understand it, and ...

I remember when I first heard about it, it seemed really cool, but wanted to dive deeper, and it never made any sense.

The pegged assets can be understood by reading this article.

The web wallet's out in the next few hours/days.

Here's your 2 minute explanation.

Honestly, this is too hilarious. If anyone is buying into this based on tiny aqua rocketship graphics, they deserve what they get.

The idea is only one that sounds good but is basically impossible to implement. But if you add enough layers of complexity, people stop trying to understand it and hand over money to invest in tokens.

So your argument is that you don't understand. OK.

Correct. And no one does, because it isn't logical.

But hey, show me some details how this nonsense works.
