Where did you make the bet?

Step 1) Create a ponzi scheme
Step 2) Get lots of people paying in
Step 3) Crash the ponzi scheme
Step 4) Get people to place bets against you getting paid
Step 5) Steal all the money people bet against you
Step 6) LOLz at naive people sending money that they can't eat the cost of losing to strangers on the internet with 0 chance of ever recovering it

I need to come up with another good scam to run on these tards. This has nothing against Bitcoin itself, more with its super naive userbase.

I was scammed out of about 10 BTC. I invested in some of these mining stocks on the glbse. I was too lazy to look into the ASIC miners that were coming out that would make all other equipment obsolete.

lol glbse - Basically everything on there is going to be a huge scam or at best a terrible investment. Cannot think of anything dumber to throw money at.

Tom, what would it take for you to get back into bitcoin? A established name accepting it and offering a distinct advantage with its use?

If it was useful to me (as a consumer) or if it was a good business decision (as a business).

That's not a scam, that's overpaying for something because you were lazy.

Also BFL saying ASICs are coming is not the same as ASICs coming.

There was a bond on the glbse that paid like 2% dividend weekly. One of the mining stocks I owned said he was going to put the bitcoin in that stock until the they had enough to buy an asic. As soon as he said that I sold everything. Many of these guys on the glbse are young, and can not see a fraud an inch from their face yet.

As for buying a mining stock, imho they knew the asics were coming and decided to run a mining stock to hedge their bets. I would not be surprised if some of them don't even have equipment that actually mine to pay the dividends. It would have been a nice Jon Corzine type bet.

Official game over by pirate

[19:54] <@pirateat40> As much as I've tried to meet the deadlines within the community, there're conditions beyond my control which have escalated the process to the point it is today.

[19:55] <@pirateat40> Bitcoin Savings & Trust has hereby given notice of default to it's account holders.

He's not taking bets on the default anymore right?

Just on whether he'll pay?

Which is still really odd. I'm not so sure I'll get paid, but I'd still bet that I will, but not with him, lol.

I thought I read that he was still taking bets, after the IRC was announced. there were a few people who increased their bets.

Looks like he closed it with 35,000 BTC in bets. LOL @ him. Micon bet 1000 alone.

lol @ him.

I thought if he was making a legitimate bet, he would have asked for odds. He is either angle-shooting, freerolling without escrow, or just really dumb.

JFC, I guess that's not totally crooked to take that much action, but it's pretty shady. My willingness to bet was strongly influenced to bet by the statement that he was taking 10kBTC in bets and cutting it off.

He's obviously freerolling.
