First, i'm starting to move coins to rebalance, along with several others i know in similar situations. you have to rebalance at some point, and historically the time is after 10-20x gains off the bottom.

Second, bitcoin days destroyed. check out that the link. notice the spikes around bubble times.
FWIW, this doesn't really guarantee anything. A few months back or whatever, Antpool announced signaling for BU which triggered large movement in old coins. Market tanks for a few days then rebounded to ATH's. This was the infamous $850 top call by Vinny.

Sadly I remember this because it was the first/last time I was shaken out :/

Thanks.
The code as written from its beginning to now limits it to 21 million. That can be change, but there will be extreme resistance to doing so. There's been a scaling debate going on for over 2 years now between miners, developers, market about changes that should be made.

If anyone tried to change the code to make it in excess of 21 million it would almost assuredly result in a hard fork. I don't see it happening.

There really is no need to exceed 21 million. It's divisible to 8 decimals (this can also be changed), so really there are 2,100,000,000,000,000 tradable units.

The 2p2 transfers threads. Don't tell me people actually want to buy their coffee with bitcoin or anything else for that matter. People use btc to trade vs alts, evade taxes, and transfer money around.

Tether at $1.10. A theory. Maybe the korean exchanges have some serious problems and that's why they are cashing out to tether like crazy. And the market thinks asia will stop buying crypto? And the koreans are starting to dump their bought coins on the western exchanges?

i know. its noisy, but look at the chart, compare it to price bubbles (starting from 2011 rally in summer, then a spike in Nov at the bottom). its real - people move coins bought low, to sell high (or at lows).

Bounce back to $2500ish here.

It's kind of annoying knowing all the real BTC action happens when I'm asleep. And agree that basically China Japan and Korea have the most effect on BTC for right now.

Edit: Look at this ****.

Ya, but slower than normal.

Haven't done any business on there today, selling or buying, but can log in and what not.

When I woke up I was rich, this afternoon I'm poor again. But seems like things are on the up and up.

In my town you can buy pizza and coffee with bitcoin.
The first time I learned about bitcoin was from a homeless guy on the street using it.

i'm more inclined to compare this move the earlier bubble in spring 2013.
10->200 ~= 200->4000 .
