Im 20 years old, and i dont want to admit it but i never read an entire book back to front. Im not bad at writing/reading i just hate it. but what book, whether it be business or self-help would u say influenced your life the most? I'm not asking for a list of books from you guys, just one book from each person because i really do plan on reading whatever you guys suggest to me especially if its business oriented.... i'll start;

ART OF THE DEAL by Donald Trump. I think this is a must read just because it tells you how he makes decisions and just how business savvy he really is.

This thread could be really interesting despite the fact that the OP is an obvious troll.
Hopefully this thread will stay on track and people will share their own experiences

The Way of the Superior Man : A Spiritual Guide to Mastering the Challenges of Women, Work, and Sexual Desire

exerpt from chapter 1:

"Most men make the error of thinking that one day it will be done. They think, "If I can work enough, then one day I could rest." Or, "One day my woman will understand something and then she will stop complaining." Or, "I'm only doing this now so that one day I can do what I really want with my life." The masculine error is to think that eventually things will be different in some fundamental way. They Won't. It never ends. As long as life continues the creative challence is to tussle, play and make love with the present mement while giving your unique gift."

The Cashflow Quadrant by Kyosaki. For the uneducated that book is great. It changed my life.

"Rich Dad Poor Dad"

I didn't know anything about anything when I read this book. It started the entire investing obsession of mine. It was the first bread crumb.

Agreed, its terrible. But at it got me thinking about money, saving(even though the author tries to bash saving) and which part of the quadrant I wanted to be in. so it was worth the money for me but its pretty bad book

I agree. Quotes such as 'poor people buy liabilities, rich people buy assets' , was (sadly) obvious to me only after reading this book.

This was more or less my experience as well. Since then I've read hundreds of books about investing in different types of ventures. Most of them had a least something to offer. For pure investing information, RDPD is not he book to read. But RDPD, and the Cashflow Quadrant specifically for me, was the book that changed by thinking about money the most drastically.

Kyosaki is an arrogant prick and the RDPD series is, overall, terrible for investing advice. But I still recommend it heartily to anyone interested in the possbility of having a full life without the burden of employment.

I don't send people to RDPD for investing advice. I send them there so they can begin to understand what I think is the most important aspect of investing. That is that investing is a way to leverage your time. Investing allows you to make money without working, or at least, work once and get paid for it for a long time.

"The Cat in the Hat" by Doctor Seuss.

Immediately after that I moved onto "Theory of Poker" by David Sklansky.

I was able to pick up and read "Curious George" by H.A. Rey after that.

Curious George changed my life....

Do most men really think this?

Yes they do, not superior men like you and I but yes most men think they can communicate with their women and make them understand something that they don't want to understand.

I think its a good book. Too simple to give any meaningful actual investment advice, but I honestly think the world would be better off reading it than not reading it.

33 Strategies of War - Robert Greene.

The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho.

There are about 6 others, but I really can't pick one out of these two.

Losing my Virginity - Richard Branson

I wouldn't say it changed my life, but it made me more aggressive about getting out there and doing rather than saying.

The world is probably better off if they read most books, what's your point?
