Why are you making changes to a system that is working so well for you?

WLT with an earnings beat despite coal supposedly going the way of whale oil. Knew I loved that stock...

Bought 1u worth of puts on LNKD because I'm a degen. Here's hoping for a GMCR-like epic fail.
Sold 2/3rds of my LNKD position to cash out; freerolling the rest of it through earnings.

His GILD pick is the one that just keeps on giving.

Dumped half of my DNB puts at $3 to cash out. Freerolling the rest.

I honestly have no idea, but it has been a day, their stock is down from 10 to 3.4, they've announced a $440M loss, and they are seeking funding.

Hell of a software error...

Re: Knight Capital....

Yahoo Finance is showing $7.5B in cash and $5B in debt. Why do they need funding for a mere $440M?

Wouldn't it be crazy if client money were to disappear?

That could NEVER happen ...

Yeah, not sure what to think about that, but I'm guessing they don't have $2.5B in their back pocket.

Re: August 2012 Trading thread

LTD had nice same store sales numbers today. Up 12% from July of last year. Also announced a $1/share special dividend, and raised guidance.

Going to let the market settle out, but I want to trade this to the long side at some point.

Re: August 2012 Trading thread

I'd recommend just going to the SEC filings and pulling financial numbers from there.

I get them from fool.com, but you can usually get them from the company website, yahoo, and probably a million other sources.
