I've seen tons of those sports-betting tips pages on FB, every one of them is advocating bet365. From 70 likes to 100k+.

I think I've even managed to track down some of yours? It's a mix of funny posts to betting tips, but any advice on how would you proceed to share the stuff to drive traffic to the page? Would you join the sports betting groups as an individual and then just share something from there? Would you also post on other pages (e.g I would share/post something to the "ultimate fb tips on betting as a bet365 aff" website?) or would that not work as well?

Oh I think this has already been answered, sorry.

JBizzle.

My account manager says Bet365 are no longer accepting FB pages as they do not feel there is any chance they can grow etc.

Thanks for this. I was wondering if you know whether or not you can have more than one person benefiting from an affiliate?

Eg

say you have a partner, is that partner allowed to have 50% of the income openly?
or does it have to be done behind closed doors?

Totally different ball game today. First of all, If I had to restart everything I wouldn't bother. The hassle and uncertainty around Facebook pages these days make it a nightmare to make big money. I think I would fish for likes in private groups though as it is a lot easier to get seen than it is posting on someone's post like the good ole days.

I would probably just sit back and wait for the next big site to come along (Hoping it would be sooner rather than later) and then hop on that gravy train!

Not 100% sure about this actually and its something I now need to look in to as one of my friends just made an app for betting which we will split 50/50!

At the moment I Was just going to pay him from the money that goes in to my bank account but there is probably a quicker/safer way of doing this. Just need to send an email but I think it would involve setting up a legal partnership first of all...

Hey OFA,

This has been a great read so thanks for doing it. I started a similar page a few months ago and i'm finding it really tough going as far as getting new likes etc. Just wondering if you can answer a couple of these questions for me please. You have touched upon a few of them, but not directly answered any that i can see.

I post up a mixed bag of vids, pics, tips etc and have used the 'fill in the blanks', 'tag a mate who...', asked questions, comments etc but none are really having the desired effect. I also comment on other similar pages wishing them gl etc. we're too small at the moment to go down the 25-500 type challenge route but i'm guessing that's route that brings the most $$$$ in? We have a website and a Twitter account too but we're mainly focused on soccer and with a lot of leagues ended, or coming to an end, we need to keep everything ticking over.

When you say to join private groups, is that as yourself (or fake FB account) or as your sports tipping page? If your Sports Tipping page, do you just comment on everything you can and throw in the odd share from your page? Or is the share thing more if you have joined as your personal account?

How many posts would you boost? Which type of posts? What are your most successful type of posts?

If your 'followers' figures are that they are most active at say 3-7pm, do you aim to post most at those times and just not really bother when it's graveyard shift?

Do you have a team of guys posting for you? I've seen a lot of these where a different guy takes on a line of tips and then he passes it over. Do you have guys concentrating on tips, news, updates etc?

How many posts on average would you hide, ban, delete a week? There must be a ton of negativity coming in for bad tips etc.

What sort of homework do you put into your posts? i.e do you have a schedule that you follow every day with regards sites you check etc.

Thanks again, that will do for now!

I am thinking to start an affiliate marketing project. Do you think it is too late to start in 2014?
07-08-2014 , 07:07 AM
Is there any easy way to find companies that do affiliate marketing? Would be kinda fun to try this out, but I would probably aim for sports equiptment or something. I guess it is possible to do this for online stores as well?

I would probably join private groups as yourself and just be subtle about it. IE pretend its not your page and that you are just talking about it for some reason... Be careful though as I own a few of the main private groups and know about this sort of thing so you wont last long in my groups But this certainly works in groups that are poorly maintained by their admins

I don't really boost any posts. I used to just pay for likes. Now there is no point paying for either. I find it hard to justify spending any money on promoting posts and here is why:
You promote posts to get likes (That is the ultimate aim - get attention, get a click and then get them to like the page). Now that you have paid for that and got the likes, you now want to communicate to those likes and BOOOM, Facebook only lets you speak to between 5-10% of your audience. You have basically paid for likes that you can not talk to. I blog about these sorts of things in great detail just in my spare time - I wont post the link to my blog as I do not want to be accused of using this thread to gain anything for myself.
My most successful posts are the ones that are original. the "Tag a mate" posts you mentioned are old now, people have seen them and they wont get you much attention. Find something new and it can still get you attention

I suppose that would be smart. I have never really gone into it in that much detail.

I have a couple of lads posting tips for me on some of my pages. I pay them a few ££ for each sign up they get me to an affiliate. Saves me time and energy

Meh, once a post is no longer the most recent one on your page, people have already forgotten about it.
I try not to ban people. Just hide their posts, their mates will see it but no one else meaning you still get attention.

Some days I do loads of research, some days none. I am not a winning sports bettor so it makes no difference how much research I do as I do not know how to find value in betting odds

Well, it depends what your plan is.

I am guessing seen as how you have posted in this thread you have read it. And if that is the case I can assume you are not planning on just making a FAcebook page for this

Not that I know of. I have not really looked. Google is your friend here surely?

Just google search a company and add "Affiliate program" on the end or whatever

You wasn't lying when you said getting likes is the hardest part OP. Did you fully rely on people seeing your page when liking and commenting on similar pages posts, or is there another way around it? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Now a days you need a new USP.... Everyone is used to seeing the same old pages using the same tactics to get attention. Customers (Facebook users) are now used to seeing a post, liking it and moving on. Where as before they would like the page, now they don't bother unless it truly has some sort of value which is very hard to offer now that the market is flooded
07-14-2014 , 07:19 PM
Thanks for the reply, yeah I am starting to get that impression to be honest, a lot of the pages seem to run challenges, which attracts most of the attention, so I might give this a try. For now it's just abit of fun as I enjoy sports betting so I will just see how it goes.
