In the hopes they will see my links to my site, share etc etc.

Recently I've had a tonne of engagement on some posts on FB (originally shared from my Instagram) where certain vids (which are just reposts of other funny pages etc) have had 250k+ views seemingly over night. And weeks down the line those same vids are getting interaction everyday, with countless shares. Some of my other content has very small engagement and its as though people aren't even looking at the page they are just seeing those vids - all my vids have a caption and then a link to my website.

I'm not sure why these random vids garnered so much attention it was organic and I didn't pay for it (although have spent lots on Fb ads without great results) but maybe someone famous shared it?

Anyway the question I have is, while that's all well and good and I can then invite all these random people to like the Facebook page, maybe 5% actually like it. So it hasnt really helped me. How can I get more people to like the page and thus drive traffic to my website for example and take advantage of these ?
I think now a days people are aware of click bait. This is the main reason I basically gave up on my website. My business model has changed dramatically over the last 3 years. Its much simple now and requires less work for more payoff.
I think spending money on Facebook ads is only worthwhile if you will get a quick fire return. The day of long term investing in Facebook is dead.

Twitter is interesting. Look at Paddy Power. They used to make posts that would get 10s of 1000s of retweets, now they are lucky to get 100. They spend a fortune on it too. If a brand like that that spend so much money on advertising is struggling to get engagement, what chance do we have?
Saying that, I have not spent a huge amount of time on Twitter this last 2 years so maybe there are new techniques that can be used?

How would you start and what things would you continue to do?
Any advice is helpful! Thanks.
I am not sure I understand what you are asking? Can someone clarify?

I assume so. I only affiliate with companies who solely operate in Europe so my USA knowledge is none existant

Got a few questions:
1) Can I become an affiliate ONLY with a facebook page? Since FB transformed, there's been a lot of targeted ads, following audiences, blah, blah, making it easier to pay to reach your audience. So I thought I'd rather just do a FB page then host a website on my own - I don't jhave the tiem to build a website, nor the experience.
2) IF the answer to that question is NO - Is there a loophole? Like create a really ****ty website, become an affiliate with that address, then build a FB page, use the links...and at some point bother to upgrade the website so it isn't artwork created by 4-yr old?
3) Is it a good idea to start linking affiliate stuff from the start?
I say this because I mostly do basketball bets, and that one bookmaker I'm wondering whether to name, has the widest variety of basketball markets and is purely the reason I started doing this. Also, my strategy involves bets probably not offered anywhere else...so thinking that if someone want's to give this a try, thats the only site to go to.

Thanks,
Netz
1, Yes but bet365 and a few other sites dont allow people to sign up as an affiliate if you just have a FB page anymore
2, Id say so but not sure. I dont know what the full criteria is anymore. Luckily I dont have to worry about it
3, I think these days its fine. You can no longer make FB pages without spending money IMO so alienating people who may tell their mates is no longer an issue

I'm extremely familiar with affiliate marketing and FB advertising in general, but I'm slightly out of the loop on what's allowed, paid advertising-wise, on FB nowadays when it comes to gambling. If one had a football blog type site, with pages on tips including affiliate links to bookies, would you be allowed to run paid FB ads direct to that page?
There are ways around it. Be prepared to get your FB page closed eventually though. I have had many closed

Is online gambling legal in US? I havnt kept up to date with all the laws in different states.

Based on the sheer number of affiliate marketing conferences in the US I would assume there are a lot of different programs you can sign up to. I'd say potential to make money is far greater in the US due to sheer number of people you have access too.

You can play on Ignition, Black Chip poker, and a few other sites I believe.

I am not sure there is much money in promoting poker sites anymore. Apart from the obvious risks of promoting them, is there even much money to be made anymore?

The majority of rec players do not play as consistently anymore, the profit poker sites make after rakeback is super thin etc.

How many 1000s of players would you need to make 100k a year?

I have no idea

Poker.. true but all of the sites that have poker also have sportsbetting too and i'm sure a lot of people still bet consistently?

If you start now what affiliate program would you recommend. With my methods i managed to get 2000 clicks for few days and a tried with 888 but i only got 14 registrations and only 1 deposit. Are this stats okay and keep in mind that this are people interested in betting? Can you recommend some other betting sites with good conversions and good programs or i should try with bet 365?

Has facebook suddenly made it impossible to advertise betting pages now? I signed up and tried to advertise my page for "like" then they asked for a ID document so I sent it off and now I have received an email saying " Your adverts aren't approved after a closer review " ?

Hi There,

After making over £1,400 profit from football bets in one weekend I decided to start my own tipster Facebook page, which I have done. Not even two weeks from creating it and posting and I already have almost 500 followers. I continuously get messages from people so I decided to look into being an affiliate. I was accepted by Bet365 but if I'm honest I'm now stuck with where to go. I know there's money to be made and I'm willing to put the time, money and effort in.. I already spend half my day on my laptop looking at bets etc. I would've made another £1,000 this week from starting with £5 if it wasn't for Arsenal not scoring!! You seem to have an awful amount of knowledge and I sound in a very similar position to what you were once.. last few months of studying at uni but I've become bored and unmotivated with it, I've found my true calling but don't know where to progress to next. If we could get into closer contact I'd greatly appreciate it, I have an awful amount to learn and would love to do so.

Thanks,

The Odd Better (Alex).

I would like to refresh this thread with a couple question.

Is there any trustful betting site for affiliate without negative rollover? (who works with percent of deposit, not on click)?

What kind of site do i need for participating on affiliate network?
Will they check my audience (how many visitors i have) or I just need a good design and quality articles?

A question from me as well for OFA. I have read this topic at least twice and cannot see a straight answer so here it is:
When you create new FB page (that is - if you still do it), is it strictly betting related so you add your AM links right away (or fast enough), or any other page "content related" with bookie AM links added gently on the page?
Cheers

Do you use Facebook CPA / CPC or recommend other channels?

Where do you find your products?
