Well, don't say I never contributed a good stock tip. Bought $CONN $7 call and have > 2x my position value overnight.

Nice hit, you still haven't explained your BBBY thesis. You really think people are going to follow/like an idea with zero expansion on why?

Oh, I'm not trying to tout a stock pick. That's not my M.O. Just sharing trades / positions I have.

I like BBBY for the same reason I liked CONN. I see a lot of alternative-accounting, advanced accounting... whatever you want to call it -- essentially non-GAAP accounting that significantly impacts shareholders one way or the other.

As I mentioned in my first post ITT, this is not my research but obtained from Finbox. I'm not at all invested in them, don't know anyone who works for them or their partners, etc. I just heard about them through Seeking Alpha. I've reviewed a few of their valuations, and of course they've had their wins and losses. Overall, I do think they're on to something when it comes to the way companies account for and report EBITDA, revenue, growth, and plan dividends.

We'll see how BBBY goes on Thursday.

KMX report on Thursday morning could have huge ramifications for the entire industry. Selloff in all things auto related these past couple days (and in dealers since February) after GM and Ford March numbers have people on edge. If KMX kitchen sinks it, wouldn't be surprised to see a lot more selling.

Looks like JAB Holdings is the buyer. Reminder that these guys paid a crazy premium for Keurig & Krispy Kreme. Very curious to see what other M&A could happen in the dining out space as you just had QSR/3G take out Popeyes for a huge valuation as well.

DSX GOGL both shippers made new 52 week highs on strong unusual volume. I like GOGL the most bc of the triangular flag.

There's such a legit geopolitical path to black swan right now. It's like 3 chess moves out.

HOS ripped up 9% on the day. Has it bottomed out??? I was filtering for some double bottom momentum trades... I know a few of you have followed HOS since it was a key discussed stock on 2p2.

Thoughts? Face ripper this week?

For profit educators down today, probably dipping lower. NY became the first state to offer free tuition today, other States sure to follow.

50% of STRP was sold short. Holy bleep on this deal from AT&T, 160% premium for "nonsense stock with nothing of value." Someone was off a bit right cicakman? LOL

Well the claims that it was a potential 100 bagger were pure bull****, obviously. The best they could do was 200% years later. That includes a period where it hit -70% where most holders for the big one would have sold.

It's a weird buy. Why buy it now for $1 billion when all of exactly the same spectrum was available for $100 million just a year and a half ago? It's not like the analysis has changed. Spectrum is a finite and well analyzed resource. It's not like there's been a tech breakthrough. It doesn't make any sense at all.

Hopefully more details come out.

CEO of Virtu keeps buying his own shares when insider selling as a % is close to ATHs, pretty sure it's a no brainer follow. Probably more of a long term play but I've been slowly accumulating over the past few months.

Tough market to be short, both the indices and individual names. Both of those names above are great examples.

Canadian weed going off this week.

EMH and MJN both look great. OGI has crushed it since their lawsuit talk. Aphria continues to crush new highs since their TSX listing.... (cough). OGI may be a good short in the near term, ditto Aphria.

The other weed stocks look good. As does the new weed ETF under the ticker HMMJ which lets Americans get a piece of EMH/MJN.

I know man,, its a time to lay somewhat low for me.. as i also see this as a bad long entry point (for trading), not lt holds i already had pre run up.

Now is not the time to give up myrna. When the most hardened bear is exhausted and giving up is when you go short
