Not me. It's gotta cool off a bit intra-day but that's it. The net short was just too big for this to be it. Money will keep piling into these sectors since it's fleeing so many others. But I couldn't blame anyone for locking in a big score. I'm gonna let it run, fingers crossed.

Looking at ICC.VN as the new weed hotness. Bit sad I sold my MT because I didn't want that much exposure while I was on vacay last week. Glad to see that ACB continues to look like crap.

Took twice as long to learn about 1/3 of what I'd hoped, but finally I'm beating the piss out of the market on a good sample size.

2017 there's no choice but to start learning to short individual holdings. I'll have lots of questions for you sharps, but I'll be sure to learn the obvious stuff myself so I don't saddle you guys with dumb questions.

how does under armour benefit from a deal with mlb? baseball is dying. In some markets mlb is behind even mls + epl.

I think you're probably overthinking it. The health of the league isn't going to get in the way of UA making their money on this deal. Obviously they'll make LESS if less jersey's are sold. But it's basically a giant freeroll for them. Plus MLB has that giant money printing 12.4B annual TV deal till something like 2021.

yea, and I heard someone on cnbc talking about how majestic is made in the USA. it will be interesting to see if ua makes the jerseys here or if they make the new jerseys overseas (like everything else they sell). a hornet's nest now that Trump is prez.

I think it's a smart deal for UA. It's not just about making money on licensed jerseys. Unlike Majestic, UA has other Under Armour branded merchandise that will benefit from increased brand recognition. I believe VFC was trying to unload Majestic within the last year anyway. UA needs to branch out from football (which could shrink faster than baseball anyway). Getting some UA-C before the ticker symbol change makes sense to me.

Unfortunately, i stopped out of this one for a loss. Knew it was a better longterm hold. Its going crazy hit 4.70 today! Pretty good for essentially a dividend non-cyclical.

My Dad want's to become an options trader. I'm just assuming he's drawing dead but I don't know anything about it so its hard for me to articulate exactly how he's drawing dead.

Here is his approach:

He has spent the last few months going through the options trading training on motley fool, IBD, and options express, as well as a few individuals who he says just reiterate the same information. He wants to be a spread trader using http://stockcharts.com , options monster, and http://investor.com as his trading resources.

Is there any chance he is +EV? How will he ultimately fail?
