Re: Zee Justin unbanned from stars (and got his AIM hacked)

I think this is a good decision.

A lot of deserving online players who have been banned in the past and have now changed their actions deserve a second chance... Even someone who commits a murder has time to reflect on their mistakes and eventually pays their dues. Obviously for something like online poker we cant sentence ZeeJustin to a 15year BAN. As long as he's not cheating again and whatnot what is the harm in him being allowed to play?

Yes. I can see at least 2 posts above yours that were made by people who know him in real life.

Or... he simply believes that somebody who cheated deserves a life long ban from whatever gambling establishment he cheated. Something which a lot of people believe and which has a great deal of precedent in the gambling world.

Honestly your post makes you seem like a total idiot, who thinks anyone who disagrees with you has to be deranged in some way and not just of a different opinion.

edit: For the record, I support stars decision.

glad it wasn't me he screwed out of alot of money and glad i dont play for big money on stars. its a black eye for online poker imo to let a cheater back into the system. for all anyone knows he never skipped a beat and made new accounts right after being banned.

does a leopard ever change its spots?

holla.....if he never got unbanned i dont think anyone could say he didnt deserve it. He STOLE money from people....STOLE...MONEY...from people who WERE NOT CHEATING. Also at the time he came across as one of the most arrogant poker players around...yet still found the reason to cheat. Madoff is really sorry...we should let him out in a couple years and let him give speeches as to why ponzi schemes are bad. I personally do not care either way, but berating someone for not supporting this is completely lol

Re: Zee Justin unbanned from stars (and got his AIM hacked)

I am really surprised in the outgoing support for Justin. I am especially surprised by Stars for unbanning his account (whether he has had another account during the time he was banned is another discussion).

While I'm sure Justin is a great guy and is definitely a fantastic poker player, what he did back then was wrong on a moral/ethics level and when faced with the grey line, he decided to cheat to get ahead and I don't think that people should be forgetting what he did. To be honest, this should be front page news on Stars homepage and the little pop-up as well I get when I log on stars.

It tells me, okay I can cheat for 10-100s of thousands of dollars but if I apologize for all my mistakes and stay quiet, a lifetime ban will be lifted.

I think Stars dropped the ball to be honest. Just my 2 cents.

When he multi-accounted, there were no clear cut rules in the TOS that said it was prohibited. Unethical, yes; there's no question about that, he admitted it himself. I think it's important to realize that online poker was still SO new, sites didn't foresee this problem, and he was made an example of. Sucks, but it had to happen to someone.

Personally, I think he was banned for entirely too long, learned his lesson quickly, and has definitely, definitely "served his time." All around nice guy, has been the poster boy for integrity since his infraction, and it'll be nice to see him back to tearing it up on stars. If he had gone the route of JJProdigy, nobody on this forum would be supporting his return. Fact is, though, that he's a stand up, honest guy that made a really stupid mistake when he was young and brash!

I would like to make this clear because previously 2p2 was threatened with lawsuits for stating this information.

I don't know about stars.

Money was ORIGINALLY confiscated from his party poker account. ZJ sued them and got it all back.

As far as I know, this is nothing more than rumor and innuendo. ZJ's never commented on this that I've seen. Was a 2p2 rumor that spun out of control.
