WSOP Incident Friend asleep at the table

My buddy who just got back from Vegas told me his incident at the WSOP, his event is a 1k NL event, during the course of the event, he fell asleep and nobody woke him up until dinner break and that's more than 3hrs, he lost most of his chips due to blinds.

My question is, IS the dealer supposed to wake players up or just leave them alone, apparently the explanation to him is that, "When u dozed off, you are like not here, its like you went to the restroom or went to another event, its unfair for other players to wake you up".

Feel free to share you own WSOP experience.

LOL that sucks, but is hilarious. its no ones responsibility to wake your bro up bro. but like i probably would wake him up like 5 mins before dinner break so he can at least play a hand or something

how does your friend sleep for more than 3 hours in a room with all that noise and lights. How does he not got a table change in 3 hours? How does he not have to go the bathroom 1 time in 3 hours?.....How?

I say Level.

Firstly, why is he so tired before playing a tournament?
Secondly, they offer free energy drinks
Thirdly, There are breaks every 2 hrs, there's no way he would sleep through that and I don't even think the staff would let him stay during the entire break to avoid stealing chips.

Re: WSOP Incident Friend asleep at the table

sorry about your friend's luck, but its not anyone else's responsibility to wake your friend up. did the WSOP follow him around vegas the night before and tell him not to do hookers and blow so he would be able to stay awake during the tournament? nope.

gg

Does your buddy enjoy heads up cash games for high stakes, say, at maybe 3AM?
