It wouldn't surprise me if the floor stepping in had nothing to do with stopping a confrontation, but was about Harrah's/ESPN being unwilling to accept that god forbid there are people who play online poker for real money. .net ftw!

Sure, who wouldn't want PH as a sponsor? The question is whether anyone will pay him as much as UB does. Pokerstars and Full Tilt certainly wouldn't. He's not as valuable to them as he is to UB.

I am really glad people call him out publically and am proud to have done so yesterday. I hope more people do so in the future. He was prancing himself around the TV table handing out books and unfortunately the crowd was eating it up. He tried to hand me two books and I laughed and told him I don't want his books. I then clearly and loudly asked him about the superuser list and how he could continue to promote such an unethical company. He first tried to ignore it, then when I kept asking if he would continue to ignore the superuser list issue, he said he just endorses the company. So I responded by asking whether he bears no responsibility for promoting a company that stole millions from its customers. He asked me if I really wanted him to fight me right there about it. I said, "you're going to threaten to fight me because I asked you about the superuser list?" He said, no no no I just mean have a verbal confrontation or something or other and that sort of ended it.

Everyone sat there stunned for a bit. Heh. Then later a priest came up and thanked me for calling him out. LOL

one of the greatest success stories at this years WSOP. A lawyer talks trash to Phil himself, and thinks that random priest's opinion about that matters to him and poker community.

People will see on ESPN how middle aged lawyer tries hard to be somebody acting like Hellmuth himself.

Russ did cheat, Phil does not have anything to do with that. Layne Flack does, because he golfs with Russ on a regular daily basis.

This thread is full of posters jealous of Phil Hellmuth. He had hardly, if anything to do with the scandal. I think it's inappropriate to mention it at the tv table because it's your pathetic chance at some camera time. It's obvious to anybody who understands the targeted demographic for these broadcasted tv tables that few people know what the **** some internet player/ 2+2 posters are talking about/care and ESPN doesn't want that on their station for ratings along with everything else. Phil Hellmuth fuels a lot of ad revenue for ESPN during the broadcasts so of course he's gonna have favor when someone is talking crap to him.

Hope all you internet geeks are proud of your over zealous hero
