WSOP Online Poker Site Ready To Launch

Haven't heard much about this for a while, but it looks like the WSOP poker site is launching some time this week or next. Seems strange that they would wait until after the WSOP broadcast is over before launching the site.

is this going to be a site just like all the others, like ps ftp cake etc .... or is it going to be some bull**** site like the wpt puts up

Supposedly it is will be running the same software and network as Pacific Poker/888, or at least the software is being developed by them.. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully they figure out something better to use than the stock Pacific Poker software.

Who are their pros? Jerry Yang? Ray Romano? Royal Flush Wife-Beater guy?

That seems pretty ridiculous considering those 2 sites now control 50% of the total online poker traffic.

Their timing is suspiciously off. Launching AFTER the main event is over and centered around the start of the UIGEA Dec. 1st deadline? They cannot be that obtuse.

If it were not for the "No US players" I'd agree with the possibility of that happening. A site cannot exclude the largest poker market and expect to be #1.

No way.

Its true if you had the pokerstars or FTP team managing the site...then yes it would be bigger than either.

Problem is the software will be awful and they are going to screw up everything as much as possible.

Stars and FTP are on top for a reason.
