I think my favorite thing related to the Elky hand is how Hellmuth still tried to brag about it on Twitter.

153 for the $10k O8, last year drew 163.

Still not a single event has hit last years numbers.

Today we have the 1k Tag Team, last year it drew 863 players. Also the $1.5k Dealers Choice, which last year had 389 players.
At what point will it be time to sound the alarms? Not looking good

Also - one last Hellmuth-related comment - a gem shared by Jason Les on the stream last night.

Les, Paul Volpe, and Shaun Deeb are down to 3-handed in a 10k PLHE event a few years back. Hellmuth makes his way to the FT and shares that he'll be tweeting out a congratulations to the two players that make it to HU. Deeb quips with a great response: "What a bubble"

So is poker go broadcasting every final table or only a select few?

What's pokergo?

And is there any particular reason that the WSOP has made their coverage/website 1/4th the content as the past few years? It's honestly tilting.

I can't stand Deeb but this is gold.

Colossus feels like the best real read thru for early WSOP numbers. Caesar's should have sold this thing last year. I think numbers will trend down this summer, before the asset gets sold to MGM at a discount. First year at MGM will be a ****show, but 2 years from now looks promising...

What makes you think MGM would do a better job with WSOP?

I wonder who the single person is who managed to fire 12 bullets in the Colossus.

https://www.pokernews.com/tours/wsop...ost.253835.htm

$6780

Based on last year payouts, he'll need a top 100 finish to make anything back

One Drop Final Table has started. Polk won a decent little pot from Robl to get things going. 9 remain.

Wow - looks like the play will be excruciatingly slow in this one.

I'd take my share of time here as well but it really makes you appreciate the shot clock.

Norm and Lon talking about rubber bands during a fairly big have between Polk and Kamran was painful.

It may have been Jeff Boski the youtuber. I remember he said in one of his videos he was planning on firing 10 to 12 bullets if need be and he doesnt seem to have made day 2.

I enjoy Lon and Norm but this commentary is embarrassing. Their style just isn't suited to a live stream. During big hands they are rambling about rubber bands, property prices and DFS. Ali and Shulman would be so much better.

Whoever scheduled Lon and Norm for the biggest WSOP event made a big error. Let them commentate on a 1k live stream if need be, or ideally edited shows where they are excellent.

Really agree with this. Would much prefer Ali and Shulman or Tuchman with a high stakes crusher guest. I also really like Max Steinberg, but his strat is way outdated. Shocked that he doesn't even know short stack shove ranges (T9s is an easy shove UTG+3 for just over 13 BBs, especially when Polk is the 2nd shortest stack at the table).

Excellent. Have you seen the new addition to the Gugenheim?

Getting too easy though. Thinking about moving into importing and exporting.
