The only reason the WSOP ever became the big yearly event is because of the exposure it gained by broadcasting. To claim that the stream is worth $10 they are overvaluing the content in the stream while undervaluing the marketing through broadcasting. I guess its back to catching it on ESPN once in a while... a la pre-Moneymaker days.
I don't have an issue with paying $10, but:
* For casual or non-poker fans, it is often an issue.
* The content is predominantly NLH, so non-NLH fans are basically SOL.
It's too bad the WSOP couldn't have just retained non-NLH streams, since they won't be streamed elsewhere.
