Not providing a free stream is the moment WSOP jumped the shark. After 10+ years of loyally following the WSOP I am no longer a spectator.

How dare they not provide you with entertainment for free!

Seriously, what is it with all you guys complaining about a $10 fee for hours of live poker stream with hole cards.

We're getting worse content, and now have to pay. But yeah, we were running way above EV when we were getting everything for free. This is the inevitable downswing. Hopefully we'll be running good again next year. Maybe more content, still $10.

If they had not been doing it for years, then I wouldn't have such an expectation right? The WSOP built this expectation with its viewers.

The only reason the WSOP ever became the big yearly event is because of the exposure it gained by broadcasting. To claim that the stream is worth $10 they are overvaluing the content in the stream while undervaluing the marketing through broadcasting. I guess its back to catching it on ESPN once in a while... a la pre-Moneymaker days.

Mixed games with slight decline, but nothing major:

Mixed TD: 225 vs. 236 last year
1.5k O8: 905 vs. 934 last year & 918 in 2015
10k O8: 155 vs. 163 last year & 157 in 2015

18,053 for Colossus, down 16% from last years number.
153 for the $10k O8, last year drew 163.

Still not a single event has hit last years numbers.

Today we have the 1k Tag Team, last year it drew 863 players. Also the $1.5k Dealers Choice, which last year had 389 players.
