Yikes. I thought you were exaggerating, but looks like this event had 731 players last year. Registration just closed this year. Only 651. Quite a decrease.

Event #2: The $10,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em Championship

The inaugural event was won by poker pros Doug Polk and Ryan Fee

This year some exciting teams have already announced their participation. The most decorated Olympian of all time and 23-time gold medalist Michael Phelps joins Antonio Esfandiari, Brian Rast and Jeff Gross to form an impressive squad. Last year's Main Event final table member Kenny Hallaert teams up with Steven van Zadelhoff, Adam Owen and Benny Glaser all hunting for some gold together. There are sure to be a plethora of professionals and big names to take part in this first ever Tag Team Championship Event, so look for many other strong and exciting teams.

This would be a good event for Doyle Brunson and the Brunson Family.

Agreed, one orbit (min) to qualify is a joke.

anybody know how many events hellmuth will play this year ?
not looking for a number, but if he has said he'll play a heavy schedule or not.

was looking over at pokershares that there is a bet at 4.5-1 for him to win a bracelet this year. my immediate thought was "that's a good price", but is it really ? thoughts?
