Blom or Dwan are some of the last guys you'd want to pick - the last thing you want is your big pick not putting in the time because they got distracted by a high stakes poker game.
I don't like watching the guy play, he annoys me, and I think he's kind of a dbag, and he's kind of terrible at cash games, but if I wanted to win, I'd be snap calling Hellmuth first pick. The guy is focused on showing up, playing hard, and taking home bracelets, something I don't think can be said for a lot of the younger cash game oriented guys.
I think Dwan played in the most events last year according to the pokercast. So as long as he is in Vegas I would expect him to play in a huge slate because of these huge bracelet bets he has.
PH is a strong pick as well as he has shown he is still capable of winning these things and has the most bracelets. I think the reason why many people won't consider him a top five pick is his strength is no limit tourneys and all the no limit tourneys have huge field sizes. So I think picking someone who is more a mixed game player (and strong NLHE) is gonna get you the best results.
