The problem is that for this stat, performance in the ME doesn't matter nearly as much as people are thinking ITT. Coming in 150th is basically irrelevant, it's a big w/e.
Think about it... if hero 1 played just 1 ME, and placed 150th out of 6,150, then he outlasted 6,000 people total.
If hero 2 played in 2 MEs with the same 6,150 field, and placed a weak 3,150 in each of them, then he has also outlasted 6,000 people total despite his poor showings.
Now take hero 3 who played in 3 MEs, same 6,150 field, and placed a terrible 4,000 in all 3; well he actually outlasted 6,450 people total and has the best stat among these 3 players despite having the weakest results (and possibly being the weakest player).
This stat is going to be primarily affected by # of MEs played... performance is a secondary variable, although it will indeed be the key differentiator among those at the top of the list (Dan wins for sure, BTW... er maybe not... huge field modern MEs FTW).
