whatever happened to that andrew karpinski scammer guy thta had a bunch of accts. anyone remember the time full rake had some hilarious convo with a neteller guy in chat and made the customer support guy call him sir or king or something?

i remember back when ppl like baronzeus were playing 1dollar/2dollar and had no clue and before the 6max rake went to $3 and i wished one day that i would be able to play 10/20 bc it was so big.

now i wish i wasnt able to play 100/200 bc it is so big.

No. Abdul was barred for making numerous insults, and he was warned on many occasions that this would have to stop. And when we did bar him, we made it clear on the forums that he could come back any time if the insults would stop and he would stick to just discussing poker.

We also, welcome all strategy posts, even those which are better than our own. We are players after all, and good strategy posts will help us as well.

Best wishes,
Mason

ran a search and he does still occasionally post in the LHE forums. Just had a post a few days ago. I'm off to read some craziness.

Re: What were the 2+2 forums like in the beginning?

Here's a very old post that I shudder to think the kind of reception that would be seen if posted nowadays:

Posted by: Greg Raymer (graymer@gcwf.com)
Posted on: Monday, 12 January 1998, at 1:37 p.m.

Playing in a limit HE tournament at Oceans 11 casino. Middle stages of tournament, 300-600 limit with 150/300 blinds, table is 8-handed. I'm down to 250 (don't ask, the previous hand was a bad beat, and I would have busted out, except I had 250 more in chips that he did). Anyway, I can't even raise out the big blind anymore, so clearly I am merely awaiting the best hand to go all-in with. I am on the button, and everyone folds to me. I have A2 offsuit. Not the best hand I am likely to get this round, but it is only the blinds to deal with, 2 random hands, and A high is likely to be better than what they've got. I decide to go all-in, and lose after not improving. Should I have waited to see more hands or not?

I'm reasonably confident these are my first stud and first hold 'em posted hands.

Stud: When somebody always raises with an Ace up (09/03/01)

4/8 hand: How should I be playing a small flush? (09/26/01)

Looks so archaic without a converted hand history and a four-color deck. ^__^
