I think the heyday of NLHE strategy posting was 2004 - 2006. All of the following posters blew my ****ing mind on atleast one occasion: Fimbulwinter, KaneKungFu123, MDMA, Strasser, FSUplayer, El Diablo, HoldemKillah. There are so many more I'm forgetting.
6 year Highlights:
-Partypoker adds NL games bigger than 200NL in early 2005 I think it was. Online poker explodes. NLHE rockets past LHE in popularity.
-supbro
-Two words summarized nosebleed online poker: Prahlad. Friedman. Hate him or love him he was THE guy to emulate/beat for quite a long time... Atleast a year, probably 2.
-Enter KKF123. The biggest games run on Prima and UB, mostly 50/100 NL. Prahlad is dethroned and drops off the map. Multi-way struggle for top dog ensues. Many of today's dominant nosebleed regs are still growing their rolls and confidence playing limit or more likely STTs.
-Poker hand tracking and graphing software is evolving rapidly. FGators. Grimstarr. Enough said there.
-At some point a changing of the guard definitely occurs. For a while you had to have a live background to be taken seriously (and for good reason, considering how new the online games were and how atrocious many online players were.) This view declined as live pro after live pro gave it a shot and lost his shirt online. Durrr, Jman, and Krantz come to mind. So does the first person to point out you could play more hands in a year 20-tabling than Doyle Bruson has played in his entire life. Whoever that was.
-Brandi. Insanely sad story.
-Partypoker exits US market. People realize online poker may not exist forever... and get much more protective of every type of information. Strat forums go to ****. "Coaching" starts to get traction right around the same time.
-PLO becomes the game of choice at the highest level. Railbirds have been slow to make the transition, but many are now capable of discerning the winning hand at showdown, which is progress. Micros through High stakes continue to trend in the same direction.
-UB/AP Superuser discovered and confirmed... Everyone's worst nightmare comes true.

"The Aristotelian would tank forever, and even when he'd finally make a decision, it sounded like either a question ("Interesting... raise???") or idle musing ("But if I move these chips halfway towards the pot, then halfway once again, as such, shall it ever touch the commit line?")
"I'm pretty sure even the Stoic was getting impatient since he started building a mini-Parthenon with his V slabs and X batons.
"Question: Should I have called hour glass on the Aristotelian? And if so, does that mean I have no soul?

Is there any sort of conclusion to the whole Slovenia story? I remember playing with a bunch of those guys, and I'm assuming they were just ahead of the curve, but I'd love to hear some insight...
