Anyone know what happened to this kid? I Just recall the stories of this kid dropping out of school (high school i believe) winning the wcoop, and then squandering a ton of money on dumb stuff (such as 5k rims for a land rover or something, I remember the story of one falling off and him buying new ones). So I assume this kid is busto, but I'm curious.

Recently a "JordanBerk" appeared on stars playing 15/30 limit. I played him hu a little and he was an animal just like I remember Jordan being forever ago under some other name. It's probably him. But that account might be busto now too...

A fellow Magician introduced Berkowitz to online poker, which required more skill and a lot more money. He bankrolled his hobby with $40,000 in Magic winnings, and quickly went bust. So did his parent's marriage.

Like any red-blooded American boy, he asked his mother to stake him to $50,000. Unlike any other red-blooded American mom, she gave it to him. When Jordan told her he wanted to drop out of Marple Newtown High in 11th grade -- "I hate the regimentation. I hate having to wake up for class. I hate being told what to do." -- she let him. Pagona says she didn't want her son to think of himself as a failure.

Jordan played night and day, and quickly blew the 50 grand.

He'd hook fish at mid-stakes sites by constantly changing accounts and tables and user names to keep them from realizing the same guy was milking them out of their money.

EDIT: So much gold in that article.

Over the past few months he has entered two events in the Caribbean. In Aruba, he lasted 11 hours and 45 minutes, but finished just out of the money. In the Bahamas, he made it into Day 2, but didn't make a cent.

True baller.
