Yes, most of us know that celebrities like Matt Damon, Gabe Kaplan, Ben Afleck, and Leonardo DiCaprio are poker enthusiasts. But what celebrities would surprise us to know are poker buffs?

I'll give two that I think would surprise most people:

HSP, PAD and Big Game could get poker soaring again if they could get a few A listers on. Surely with Doyle's connections it could happen.

Yes, but personally I think a blockbuster movie with poker being a big part of it would be the best catalyst. If a movie based on card counting like "21" can be a success, so can a movie with poker.

Back in the 70's the film "Saturday Night Fever" was a huge catalyst for the Disco fad.

I've heard Barack Obama is a player and he actually met Daniel Negreanu at some kind of event. I read Daniel said he didn't bring up the poker legislation because Obama has bigger fish to fry.
