Let's all respectfully tell Congress that we demand our liberty. Let's continue to focus on the Facebook pages of members of the House Judiciary Committee and continue to own these pages. If you did this yesterday, please go back through and like the posts and comments made since. Thanks!

Rep. Judy Chu changed her Facebook wall settings. Now only she can post, but we (well, most of us) can comment. If I were to post (if I could), I'd post to http://www.facebook.com/RepJudyChu/p...50701109105131.

Does anybody think the rake online poker charged was/is too high? I think having an industry standard would be fair. Also imo the majority of players aren't concerned enough with security. Maybe if cheating was actually criminalized and cheaters actually had to face legal justice...

Are either of those actually issues with bringing it back to american players?

H.R. 2366 does criminalize cheating, iirc. The rake issue is not for this thread. It's not something that would be legislated. But once we get legislation, I'm sure there will be regulation advocacy.

I wonder if we could change his mind by focusing on the strengthening of the UIGEA in H.R. 2366. Consumer protection for poker competitors and strengthening of the laws against online gambling. And throw in a little tax revenue bait as well.

It's in NVG as well as Poker Legislation. And, yes, Rich changes the first post every day so the first post is the current day's plan, which he also posts on the last page. Trying to make it as easy as possible for the admittedly lazy people.

It's great seeing all of those likes on your comments, huh?

Let's keep up the good work.

H.R. 2366 has to go through three committees in the House. Energy and Commerce, Judiciary, and Financial Services. This is the third and final list of committee members (for the House). Let’s facebook them!!

The FOR/AGAINST/UNDECIDED/UNKNOWN after each name is based on H.R.1174, which was an internet gambling law, not specific to poker, so don’t assume they still feel the same.

The names with an “x” in front of them are those who do not allow direct posting on their facebook wall. The reason, most likely, is problems with people campaigning on the page. The House Ethics Committee says the facebook pages cannot be used for campaigning so when some innocent enthusiastic devotee gets on there and campaigns, they have to change it so no one can make direct posts.

No problem for us. Just post a comment in response to a post already on the page. PLEASE BE SENSITIVE about this though. If the post says the congressperson is being treated for cancer, don’t bother them with poker. Tell them to get well soon. Be sensitive to what’s going on in their state too – wild fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, etc.

And PLEASE say please and thank you. Courtesy goes a long way.

Oh, and let’s all try to get the bill number correct. It’s H.R. 2366. Thanks!

The White House announced through its official Twitter account, @whitehouse, that it will host its first ever Twitter town hall on Wednesday, July 6 at 2PM ET in the East Room of the White House. Twitter co-founder and Executive Chairman Jack Dorsey will moderate a conversation between President Obama and Americans across the country about the economy and jobs.

We can submit a prepopulated question asking the President if he supports licensing and regulating online poker by clicking here. Or, submit your own poker question to President Obama by clicking here. Please don’t forget to use the hash tags #poker #askobama.

So, let's all do this one tomorrow before 2 pm ET.

Also, let's all continue to own the Facebook walls of House Judiciary Committee members. Please remember to revisit these walls to like the posts and comments made since your last visit. Thanks!

Uh oh. I haven't gotten a posting ban yet. Other than specific pages like Chu and a few others. Bummer. Wonder how long that lasts. Surprised I didn't get like-banned tonight.

I did post to the Ross page in response to his post. It was pretty cool.

I'm done early tonight so the people who claim I'm a robot because I post in the middle of the night can't say that tonight! Hah!
