Clearly there is an easy way for you to resolve all this:

Leak the dream software that prohibited you from coaching Dough.

*Doug would no longer need your coaching since he'd have access to the software.
*People would be convinced that you're a good person again and not at all a freak and a weird dude.
*You would have action in PLO again since other people have the software as well.
*You can dodge the NDA crap by leaking it using a way that guarantees you remain anonymous. But we'd all know it was you in a winkwink-kind of way!

This advice is free, the only thing I want is a 2-hour PLO coaching session. Costs you nothing but 2 hours of your time!

I will happily sign an NDA regarding the contents of the coaching session.

And all the people shaming Doug for publicly discussing a total dick move is hilarious. How many of you have been screwed in a deal in real life? How many of you have been burned by a psycho before you had time to figure out he's a psycho? Doug posting this thread is a god damn public service. He should get some kind of award for warning everyone of doing business with Ben. I'm sure Doug would have appreciated that warning before he agreed to tutor Ben.

So thanks for making the video Doug, you're helping people you probably won't meet. But no good deed goes unpunished, you're going to get flack from the horde of morons who don't have the brain capacity to comprehend all the implications of what you did. To them, they see drama, and they think the way to resolve it is to shame the person for bring it up.

NVG drama is the best drama. 2 rich white guys get in a fight because one of them hurt the other one's feelings by saying he didn't like his looks. You can't make this stuff up.

Doug shoulda known better to no drop any other names in the story given the context he sets up with wanting to keep this between him and Ben. He could easily have talked about "a HS pro close to Ben" or w/e. He's experienced in creating content so he messed up. However, as long as the people he talked about don't mind it's not that big of a deal. He might even have checked with them. But sure it's a bit tasteless, especially considering he should know better. However, reactions itt are a bit much, especially considering that what was said was relatively innocent and should not have a major impact on anyone.

WCG picked a bad example to give because it's predictable that people will make fun of an insult about one's looks . However, what WCG described sounds serious. The type of never-ending rant that can seriously impact a personality since it relies on attacking common insecurities and such, and which is purely aimed to hurt the receiving person. I haven't been on the receiving end of one but I am certain it would affect me a lot, especially if it came from someone I trusted/respected.

I have two comments regarding your insightful posts:

1. The first major problem with poker today is that more than 25% of players have learned that Ah5s is not the stone nuts on a As7s3d board.

2. The second is that US players (and also players from France, Italy, Spain and several other beautiful countries) are not allowed to play on .com.

And btw, I have watched WCG play and he is most definitely not a bad player as you seem to suggest. He surely makes mistakes and has leaks but hey, who doesn't. After all, there is no such thing as a perfect spoonfeeding software, fortunately. As far as luck is concerned, it probably is fair to assume that he has had fairly good luck so far in his career, all things considered.

“That was one mistake. One night it happened. It didn’t mean anything. I was lonely” Doug retorted. “You hurt me so bad. You don’t even know. Everytime we go out. You had to put me down. In front of everyone. What so good about that guy Ike anyway. What does he have that I don’t. I bet he’s the one. Isn’t he. I can’t believe you chose him over me after all we had together. What was so special about him, that everything we had meant nothing to you.”

“He had something you didn’t” Ben muttered quietly. “A dream.”
