um I wouldn't rule out him being used to market FTP but I think the real issue here is an insane degen maybe isn't the best sponsor for a poker site, especially when PS is going to try everything they can to get back into the US market in the next few years.

My guess would be that he would have to play a certain number of live events each year and have to do media stuff which he doesn't like. If he was going to be a FTP pro why would they cancel his contract now and not just switch him over once FTP re-opens?
