Does anybody have any experience meeting big name pros like Tony Gregg or Hollywood Haxton? Did you talk to them and were they nice? My read is that the pros with sponsors like somerville would be willing to talk and take pictures with their fans. Same with twitch streamers, I think someone like fees or mathew would genuinely enjoy talking with their fans. I ask because im planning to play a tournament in Europe next year but one of the main reasons why id like to go is to take pictures with pros. I wouldnt want to Timex to tell me to **** off if I ask for a picture so id rather know now before I waste my time and money. So if any of you guys have met big name pros at events let me know how it went. Thanks.

Im a huge poker fan what can I say. I know fedor hates it when people come up to him and ask for a picture so if I ever see him ill stay away from him.

Thats actually not a bad idea. Ill just get dougs editor to photoshop a picture of cates on my brothers body. Problem solved =)

Some pros are very nice and some are not.

However, I advise you to spend your money on alcahol and hookers.

Some of the hookers will be nice and let you take pictures.

timex is canadian, if you asked him for a picture he would most likely offer you a ride on his pet moose, invite you over to his igloo and take pictures with you eating maple syrup over a game of hockey broadcasted on TSN, then you guys could go rock climbing and talk about ICM folds in 100k highrollers with 1bb, after he would apologize for no reason, well i guess because hes canadian....

I used to interview poker pros for my job and I found most of them to be reasonably polite. The only dicks that come to mind are Scott Seiver and Phil Hellmuth.

Not a lot of them get hounded by fans, but Daniel Negreanu does and is pure class about it, even off-camera, even when it's inconvenient. He seems to take that part of his job seriously.

Seiver seems like a miserable person with nothing nice to say about anyone who can't do anything for him.

Played at a the same table as Tony Gregg in multiple tournaments. Couldn't be more impressed by how he plays and and also how he treats others at the table.

There's a huge difference between being friendly and being willing to take a picture with strangers.

The biggest douche might be happy to pose for pictures with you while the nicest guy doesn't like to appear on a random facebook timelime.

I've heard from a pretty reliable source the Joe Hachem is cool with fan photos.

why the heck you take so long to play a small tourney,, every hand was like 15 seconds, and your clock would start.. i understand you are playing like5-6 tables at once, but come on.

I don't recall having any negative experiences with any well-known poker players, just don't be pushy.

Only played with him once but my view is the same as yours. Sometimes people mistake quiet or reserved for aloofness. That would be a mistake here.

If you ask them for an autograph/picture while they are playing, you are the one who is the dick.
