I see this every day, especially in the threads for U.S. poker sites, where there's a handful of small sites and lot of changes/unpredictability. People unprompted/outside scope of regular discussion talking about softness of various sites, X site is soft, Y site is soft, let's all switch over to this site, etc. Were people born yesterday? Some of us are still trying to make a living at this poker thing. Why would you ever post on the Internet about where there's money to be made?

Maybe you've got it completely wrong and they are saying a site is soft when it isn't, to get the good players away from where they are playing.

Why would anyone ever post anywhere about anything that may be beneficial to others?

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

People are stupid/sometimes like advising others based on it making the 2+2 community (like them/find friends)/people like being in control and giving advice.

This is completely unintelligible. The gist of it is what, I'm stupid?

Anyone playing on the Asian sites? I hear they're rigged, but if a site is too rigged for the pros, what your left with is the bad players, who are going to lose, but they lose less than if the pros were playing.

Yeah apologies for the poorly worded response (been a long day).

Gist of it being I actually don't find it super crazy that people talk about sites to play on (which are actually good to play on).

When you look at the generally introverted nature of players and the abundance of those who want to be friends and help others in the same community and I don't find it surprising that people talk about good places to play even though from a monetary aspect it's a mistake.

I feel in (relatively) closed communities like 2+2 I think many players do a lot which hurts their long run earnings in the idea of making friends/sharing advice etc.

People only call sites soft when they happen to have an upswing in their enormous 20k hand sample. Illuminati confirmed.

Yes absolutely. It comes up a lot in terms of a discussion happens in the thread for poker site X where people say "god I hate this site so much, I hear other sites Y and Z are soft, let's all go over there and we'll show 'em, goddamit." People vent to reach the satisfied state of having vented, and don't care about potential consequence.

I agree with you, but you should have gone all the **** in on ETH and you wouldn't have had to worry about playing poker anymore.

He's triple range merging his posts since he is a pro. He's switching it to ipoker! But seriously, he last three strat posts from Ralph came from ipoker, ACR, and then Ignition. Clear triple range merge.

I think, generally, the best site will have the most depositors and fewest withdrawers. I hear pokerstars is getting better in this regard.

Maybe because some posters have motives other than maximizing the earn of professional players?
