I don't know your assumptions about player stats but you are probably doing something wrong if your probability is about 16 times smaller because in holdem 8-handed more than one hand in 16 reaches the river.
Yeah such an easy call, he has Qs7s here 100% of the time. I snap call Q8+ here

This is one hand where tells are irrelevant because all the information is out in the open.
? Phil's hand isn't in the open so any tells he gives off would be very relevant to Brian.

I was playing live the other night and mentioned Brian Rast and how I thought he was a sicko.... random player commented that Brian Rast was broke and that he made some degen call in a 100k tourney recently, could not stop cracking up thinking about this thread.

how does phil laak have money? bc he is a likeable guy, gives action, people want him at the table, and he gets invited in those great home games with guys like rick salomon or bill perkins. + he shares a lot with rast and esfandiari who are beasts. prob one of the richest guys in poker.
In a previous episode, Laak limp-shoved QT and came out with one of the funniest poker one-liners of all time:
"I KNEW I COULDN'T GET THIS LIMP THROUGH!"
.
I've used "I KNEW I COULDN'T GET THIS LIMP THROUGH!... I'm all-in." probably at least seven times since this episode aired and gotten maximum value every time with AK/AA/KK. I steal a lot of table talk lines from Phil Laak, he's one of the best at it.
I'm not sure if it's button-clicking madness, or world class beastliness, but Phil Laak (in the booth) didn't understand the play either.
World class beastliness ldo... I mean he folded after all! Obviously if he had shoved it would have been button-clicking madness.
But that's just an unbiased opinion from a 3rd party observer. =)
