I have seen his crushlivepoker.com website and it seems to me he is not a very good player

You raise some compelling points, OP. I'm convinced.

anyone that struggles to beat 5-10 live nl cash is pretty bad

I on the other hand, having independently thought about, am not so sure.

maybe i should go to his website and confirm or deny the OP's suspicions as i guess that's what he wants

Wouldn't say he's horrible. I'd think he'd be a marginal winner in 5/T+ games.

From the way he talks poker, doubt he can beat small stakes online but live soft games he's for sure +EV.

As for education, CLP has extremely inferior content compared to other training sites. However, gotta give them credit for having loyal clients, who always go out of their way to post positive reviews and defends them. Fact is, most other larger training sites have content that's far better than what Bart offers.

Bart's tactics will be enough to beat super soft games. I haven't seen his recent content but older ones are all in a vacuum spots that really are useless if you're up against a decent opponent. Some of his fanboy's will say that you should table select better and play in softer games, easier said than done.

Still I think if the subscription price was say $2.99 per month, it would be ok value.

Kinda disagree.

If 5/10 is as easy as you portray, and you crush it at a large Winrate I'd be willing to pay for some tuteledge.

I play 5/10 daily and think it's far from soft.

What % of poker players are able to beat 5/10 live? .2%?

Doesn't Bart Mcgert earn his living off of pokerz?

Sounds about right

I think Bart is probably a solid player.

I played with him in Vegas for a few hours. Saw him win a few buy-ins, so he can't be that bad.

Live poker is unbeatable.

As for Bart, good player. Better guy.

Not close at all, 5/10 games aren't considered easy and really don't think they have ever been regardless of where you play.

True story. Impossible for a bad player to win a few buyins in a session.

Bart, the name, can be short for Bartholomew or Barton
07-24-2014 , 04:58 PM
The guy thinks about poker. With game selection he could beat any game. Just my opinion of course.

final tabled the 10k O8 3 or 4 times and regularly plays in 75/150 OE games whenever he can find them. he's never really said his hourly winrate on the show but he's eluded to it being right around $100/hr which is pretty good for playing live 9 handed. also limon has said he (bart) and a select few have been murdering the 5/10 game in LA for the last 6 years so i think he's pretty well off for himself. he often states hes not trying to be the best player. he clearly loves the game and is always trying to learn himself. say what you want but even though i've never met him i have a lot of respect for the guy and he just seems like a genuine and cool person to hang out with

He said he makes far more from CrushLivePoker than he ever has actually playing poker so that's good for him.

His old Deuce Plays podcast interviews are fantastic.
