At $100NL or lower, the "short stacking fish" r so bad that I don't understand the hate. Yes, I understand that occasionally you raise 3BB preflop and get a caller with 100BB and the shorty raises allin. You fold ur 33 pre and the 100BB calls the shorty with AK, the flop come 3 8 K, and you would have made money off the big 100BB stack. Get over it, the shorty's r so bad that you make even more off of their horrible shoves with A7 pre. Either stop complaining and move to 50BB or STFU and suk it up at non 50BB's and print manies!!

Uh, the nit shortstackers are the best to play against. Its the ones who understand how to play "poker" that are exploiting you.

To me it has nothing to do with profitability, it has to do with the fact that a ss slows the game down, you have to play thighter ranges vs them cuz they constantly shove over your opning raises.
Makes the game much more boring to play.

I got that fed up of the shortstackers at 10nl and 25nl on FTP i just play pot limit these days.

It isn't the shortstacking- it's the ratholing. That they can hit and run and go sit at another table (and have someone replace them with the same short stack strategy) means I'm forced to play 20BB against them all day, which just isn't fun. If I wanted to play 20BB deep I'd play SnGs.

If someone could start at 20BB but be forced to keep playing the stack once they double up- this I have no problem with. Gives people a chance to gamble with a short stack and try to turn it into something big. But allowing someone to double up and leave the table immediately, but keep on playing at other tables, just ruins the game.

I don't play for a living. I play for fun. And once I hit 200NL, the shortstacking infestation made the games just awful to sit at. And the 50BB min tables have very little action so aren't fun to play at either. Doubt I'll be playing much poker in the future when logging on is just an exercise in frustration when I want to play interesting post-flop situations and am forced to play AIPF poker.

The fix (imo) is to force people to buy in to any new table with whatever they left their old table unless it is over the table buy in maximum.

50bb tables only reduces my table selection. and your example you gave is just terrible and absolutely not the problem. how about you stop complaining about raising the minimum to 30bbs, learn real poker and print manies?

50bb minimum tables + 50bb MAX tables. Problem solved.
