Scores of pros on Twitter are complaining that the wynn classic main was the worst run 5k ever.

I was in st. Louis sweating will faillas hpt ft win, and missed the wynn.

Adzizzy on his Twitter is saying he got 86'ed from playing the event after a confrontation, and was demanding a formal apology.

Anyone have any more details what occurred at wynn today.

I know players were upset at paying 19 spots, and starting at 25-50 then skipping key levels later, but what else was there that caused such an uproar?

i dunno but i've never seen so much backlash on twitter over a 5k in my life, not in vegas at least. wynn doesn't run a ton of tournaments and i never remember the staff so when i come back to play this series (which i skipped this yr bc of experience w/ bad structures and staff last yr) i always would forget how horrible it was run until a few events in when something ridiculous happened to remind me.

i read someone said they went to dinner break w/ 17 min left in a level, then came back, and went on break after the 17 min level was over to color up black/green chips forget which. LOL. so ridiculous i can't imagine how someone can run a major tournament series with larger buyins and butcher that series of events.

The prelims were absolutely brutal. The TD there basically just follows the rulebook to the letter and doesn't let anyone make any calls whatsoever based on judgment.

Any info on adzizzy getting 86'ed?

i'll be fair here... i do like the wynn as a casino/poker room but it's CLEAR they need to hire less moronic floorpeople for their tournaments. i love the fact that i park and walk in from garage and i'm in the poker room. that's the best possible place for the room to be IMO.

i don't really play there (in fact haven't played a ton of cash there but did a few years back and liked it) but it's a very quality place other than these tournaments.

AFAIK this had nothing to do with the 5k. He was playing cash with people and got thrown out for profanity which seems absurd.

And then they barred him from the 5k and 86'ed him? I can see asking someone to leave for the day for that but that seems extreme.

Adzizzy was not kicked out of the wynn 5k. He got 86'ed a long time ago and was trying to get the staff to un-86 him. So he could play the 5k, but apparently his date his 86 will end later this month/april I forgot which one.

Well I guess we know whose horse Will The Thrill is now.

So you can just create threads in NVG now simply asking what happened at a random cash game? Also, there are a trillion threads on here with complainsaw whining about structures already.

This doesn't seem like a valid complaint. Rules are rules. If you think rules should be changed, thats one thing. But to complain that the TD wasn't willing to bend or break rules - that doesn't seem like a good thing to me. Once the rules are written, I think strict adherence is the best policy. Otherwise you just get into worse problems of unfair/inconsistent application where some players get away with stuff that others don't.

do you have an example or something as to a specific situation where you thought that a dealer/director should have allowed a rule to be broken? Or did you just mean that they have some silly rules or oversized punishments in place that should have never been there in the first place?

He made a legit point about the structure (View), which was backed up by another tourney reg, then talked about third tourney reg who was barred from the event (Gossip). Don't like it? Skip it and go back to bitching about how FTP stole your hopes and dreams.
