Re: The Twitch Streamboat

So all that nonsense about calories don't matter, I doing a Keto diet, has quite rightly got binned.

Given the portion sizes he is used to, restricting to 1500 calories is going to be quite a shock and a challenge. For starter, no more restaurant meals Jaime.

That's far too low a calorie intake IMO for a guy Jaime's size. And with him being a lazy big baby this is too extreme for him.

Double it and do intense cardio would be far better for him in the long run towards getting him truly in shape. Then you can start knocking off ~300 calories every couple of months to keep up the 'gainz'.

For a guy his size this is basically just starving himself thin, which is just a poor long term option. Although given how lazy and weak minded he is maybe it's the only shot he has at achieving this.

It's not that low if he's selective about what he eats, lean protein and veg are filling and low calorie. Not exactly exciting to eat chicken/fish/broccoli every day but the guy's doing a prop bet. If he tries eating 1500 calories of what he'd normally eat then yeah, it'd feel like a starvation diet.

There's probably a much better chance of him sticking to a healthy low calorie meal plan than starting/sticking to "intense cardio"!

People with a lot of fat mass won't have a much higher metabolism than a regular skinny person would. Jaime has very little muscle, it wouldn't surprise me if his regular TDEE (totaly daily expenditure) is 2500kcal (could easily be less) excluding "extra cardio".

I agree that 1500kcal would be considered a bit extreme this early in a diet but we're forgetting the slight detail that he actually is on a timer here. He needs to burn off 100lbs+ in a ****ing year. This is a marathon bet which he needs to sprint.

Re: The Twitch Streamboat

Right so 3000 calorie intake with 1000 burned with cardio for a total of 2000, that would have him in a deficit for certain. Then you can tweak it further down the road.

Doing it that way he can actually eat a substantial amount so it isn't a huge shock to his system. He will just be miserable and whining like a little girl on 1500 calories. Also as I said before he doesn't need the keto BS. A normal healthy and balanced diet would do the job far better and is far more sustainable long term.

Of course intense cardio would be a shock to him too, at first. But after a month or so it will become routine and easier. But most importantly the exercise will start to make him feel infinitely better and on a true road to fitness.

Come on, you'd need insane discipline to go from no exercise to 1000 calories worth of added cardio per day just like that.

isnt that the point of the bet though? The bet wasn't made bc it was going to be easy, or not require an insane amount of discipline

Jaime's time for big bone/slow metabolism/too busy excuses is over. He has a bet to win (and health to improve).

It is now simply a problem of math and will. Does he have the "heart and commitment" to burn X more calories per day through reduced consumption and increased activity to see him lose over 100 pounds in under a year. If yes, he wins. If no, he loses.

Jaime is his own "SuperUser" as the bet is 100% in his power to win.

I am a person trying to cut out diet soda myself. When I used to drink diet soda a lot I noticed that it would make me really hungry. IDK if its just the body reaction to it but after consuming diet coke I would start eating tons of stuff. Would probably be in Jamie's best interest to limit the diet sodas. Drink Carbonated water instead if you need something bubbly.

I think Jaime has the heart, but the commitment will be the biggest obstacle for him to overcome. He is certainly qualified, though.

Re: The Twitch Streamboat

There was a bit of an update for Matt's side of the prop bet in Jaime's vlog today - he's in most of the vlogs, but guess since they're Jaime's, they hardly ever show Matt eating?

Today though the three brothers were on the road from Austria to their new place in Croatia, and guess the camera was able to cover Matt's snacking - guess he ate two or three larger-sized individual bags of chips on the trip?

So still eating fatty carbs ...

Today's vid didn't have a lot of food preparation or poker - but it was a lovely vid of three of them spending some quality time together, with their shared history, and brotherly dynamics, with like some mild trolling and stuff ... found it more entertaining than some of the shows that were on tv tonight Some pretty shots of the countryside on their trip as well!
