Its all so predictable and constantly repeating set of events.
They were asked to get a treadmill, initial enthusiasm, then lots of excuses about not being able to get one, and weeks later nothing.
No real cardio, just walking. Initial target 2hrs a day, again initial enthusiasm, then starting to miss target each day, spending time having 3 coffees or sitting in the mall.
And portion sizes....my god they are still huge. They have a cook who isn't a diet specialist, who comes in and just makes piles and piles of food.
At that size on a sensible diet and exercise the weight should be falling off, way more than 2-3 pounds in 2 weeks. The hard part of the bet was always once he got to 220-230 and down, where weight won't just fall off if you don't have a fast metabolism and you have to be really dedicated to your diet and exercise to drop the rest at the continued 2 pounds / week required.
On the other hand little man Staples seems to be taking his side of the bet seriously, but he surely can't eat himself to 220+.
If you taken Staples side of the bet I think you are onto a loser.
If I had the chance to win $150k, I would have hired an in person trainer and nutritionist. They would would organize my schedule and do every work out with me and only cook the meals around that. No extras, no leftovers / seconds. If you look at the behind the scenes footage of the UFC fighers on a weight cut this is exactly what they have. Work out, rest, work out, rest, small meals prepped around that.
