Re: The Twitch Streamboat

Question.. sorry if discussed before. Isn't it almost impossible to be within 1! Pound of each other at a very specific day and weigh in time. Seems to me that's the wrinkle Bill Perkins put into the bet. Doesn't body weight fluctuate daily by almost 1-3 pounds a person depending on water, bathroom trips etc ? Not sure if they have to weigh in on a very specific day and hour. If so, that alone makes it difficult.

Re: The Twitch Streamboat

Not a big deal. They can weigh in morning and then adjust for a weigh in later in the day.

Water weight can fluctuate easily and there are things u can do. Sauna, etcc

Really the least of their concerns right now

Re: The Twitch Streamboat

As long as they are within 3-4 pounds of one another on the day, getting it to 1 pound is the easy bit. Sauna + water loading.

I would say that is the least of their concerns, it is getting that close in the first place.

I would think even if they are 20 pounds apart with a week to go, they should then walk it. Fighter cut that kind of weight, so being able to cut on one end and load on the other should be fairly easy.

If they are within 15 pounds in last 3 days that bet is won as Big Bro can cut water-weight* like an MMA fighter or wrestler and Little Bro can just guzzle water the day of to get within that pound.

*So far Big Bro has not displayed anywhere near that kind of discipline to make succeed at such an effort.

Diet Coke for breakfast while trying to lose weight for $150k. Stapler might just be the biggest degenerate in poker.

Re: The Twitch Streamboat

The "within 1lb of eachother"-stipulation is as others have already mentioned: a non-issue. They can be within literally 20lbs of actual body weight of eachother and get to 1lb on weigh-in day. With a couple of days more than 20lbs is probably doable. That's not the issue here, getting "we don't care about calories"-Jaime to <220lbs is the problem here.

Do you understand that diet coke doesn't have any calories? Just curious if your brain ignored that part while writing that post

Sorry, soda for breakfast in general, is for degens. Blows my mind to find out some think this is normal.

Zero cals and tastes good mayne. I'd focus on him having eggs fried in a slab of butter instead...

I dropped 160 pounds doing no drinks besides soda and water. The only time I had water was when I was when I was exercising. I had the easiest diet ever which was calorie output > calorie input. Along with the hard work of hiking, swimming, and a gym there was a good result. It's clear that Jamie's looking for an easy way out and there isn't one. It takes hard work and discipline to achieve what he's set out to do and he doesn't have it in him.

Re: The Twitch Streamboat

The if Diet Coke is ok for dieting or not, it points to the problem that got Jaime to where he is at the moment, lack of self discipline.

The problem is so far we aren't seeing any sign of that changing. Litres of Coke and many espressos a day, continued massive portion sizes* and regularly eating in restaurants. All the sorts of things that are the first things that should go. Keto or no keto, working on regulating how much, as well as what food groups, you intake is required. It doesn't mean supermodel one leave of lettuce a day, but my god the portions sizes are just degen.

Re: The Twitch Streamboat

I looked through some of his new coach's stuff and the guy seems to know what he's doing and will likely have both Staples track calories, so I wonder how long it takes for Jaime to drop him to continue doing keto instead of "that caloric restriction thing" or just lie about his actual intake

Yes Jaime, use this hateful post as fuel

I just saw an article today referencing a study that found that regular consumption of diet drinks results in a three-fold increase in the likelihood of strokes. I'd link it, but I doubt strokes are a concern of Jaime's.

It would be great for him to win this bet, but each vlog he puts out shows why he is a dog in it and why Polk bet over $70K against him.

Would love to see him do a two or three-day fast of just water, if only to prove to himself (and those riding him) that he can make such a sacrifice to get a big drop in pounds.

Correlational study (as everything else which bashes diet sodas). It just means that people who regularly drink diet sodas (hint hint, obese people ) are more likely to have a stroke. It does not mean that drinking diet sodas makes you more likely to have a stroke.

I agree that Jaime needs to step it up in almost every way but somehow this thing has turned into me fighting a war on pseudo-science diet-soda-hate, but trust me: I'm still on the Jaime-needs-to-****ing-get-after-it wagon

Re: The Twitch Streamboat

this is the ingredient list in a coke zero:

Carbonated Water, Caramel Color, Phosphoric Acid, Aspartame, Potassium Benzoate (To Protect Taste), Natural Flavors, Potassium Citrate, Acesulfame Potassium.

Absolute ****! that stuff will lead to strokes and obesity and anything in between, i dont care if it's zero calories.

Yup, if someone cares about their health they shouldn't drink soda. Especially relevant if they're overweight.

Latest video, Jaime states he is going to try fasting...So I immediately think like the 5:2 diet, which has been shown to be pretty effective.

But no, he means he is going to go to 2 meals a day rather than 3, but with bigger portions.

Those wondering about Jaime's income from streaming. He says last year for every $1 he made on Twitch, he lost $1.50 funding his YouTube channel. That's nuts.

If that's how he defines fasting maybe he needs to buy a dictionary before a weight-scale.

and what is your problem with that? the sum calories easily can be less if he doesnt add too much extra per meal.

Re: The Twitch Streamboat

Guys, give Jamie a break! It was merely a typo. He is going to try farting, not fasting. I am sceptical but what do I know? Not even sure less frequent food consumption in bigger portions produces more methane. Although I'm assuming he wouldn't try this without being instructed by his coach, so it is likely a legit strategy!
Gl Jamie! I will be crossing my sphincter that you don't shart in your underwear!

I like intermittent fasting (16 hour fast, 8 hour eating window) and I think it works great for those that can handle this eating strategy.

Imho, all "diets" are merely methods to help one eat at a calorie deficit, so in that sense, I think its reasonable to state that whatever eating strategy that is consistently applied with a reasonable calorie deficit over a sustained period of time is the one a person should use.

There's nothing magical about any of the so called diets (granted some of them are really stupid or complete BS), you just have to grind that daily deficit and see the weight slowly come off. Its the pace of the weight loss that trips me up, so much so that I avoid looking at scales and just try to track days of consistency on my calendar instead.

If there's one thing I've learned, you never arrive, you have to stay aware of how much you're eating (& adjust your calorie requirements as you lose the weight) or that **** will be right back on and you'll be even fatter than you were before. Its ****ing maddening for someone who's biggest vice is food coupled with weak self control over portion sizes.
