Probably should add this:

Maybe between my update and Oracle's, we managed to cover the whole range of details - guess mine alone might have glossed over the cup half empty perspective?

Although maybe the cup half full side of things is important to mention as well - because sometimes Jaime's started to have days where he's been able to do a lot more ... like with yesterday's update where he walked about 4hrs, with half of it being uphill, and didn't eat very much?

Guess maybe a range will be most accurate, if change takes time?

Can't remember exact start date but if I believe it was one of the last few days of march, seems like 17 lbs lost in ~ a month and a half for someone over 300 lbs to lose is not very much if he is indeed following his strict diet without cheats + walking as much as he portrays in his vlogs. Rooting for them to still crush this bet but looks like it is going to be hard if the numbers don't pick up.

I would bet anyone over 300 lbs could easily lose 20-25 lbs the first month if they "simply" follow an strict eating plan and only drink water but don't work out at all or maybe light cardio If someone 300+ lbs goes from no working out and terrible diet to full workout (cardio/light weights) + full diet plan and only water consumed I think the person could hit 30-40 lbs the first month no surprises.
I'm roughly 250 and I think I could break 30 lbs in a month of not acting like a fat POS with good motivation.

^^ point of tangent being that if your first month is 11 lbs when it should be your fastest fat burning period / highest period of motivation and your 2nd month is on pace to be same or less , what is month 9-10 going to look like? 2lbs lost?

Any weight lost is good for Jaimes health and long term happiness for sure, but in a bet where his brother is packing on junk food all day every day and almost gaining weight at same rate that jaimes slowly losing, not the best for the bet / matts health.

First off the vlogs are getting pretty good. It also shows in the likes/dislikes-bar on youtube. People are enjoying them now. Much less hate spewed in the comment section too, which is nice. The aspartame-trolls are still out in full force though, so I guess that idiocy isn't going away.

Also still on the "this pace is way too slow"-train. Jaime needs to pick it the **** up, but I assume his coach will figure this out.

I mean, I remember an episode of MTV's "I used to be fat" where this kid Josh lost literally 1lb a day for four months straight (lost 117lbs in 110 days lol). It can be done, you just need to ****ing step on it and execute.

Poker Shares has them on 25th of March fwiw.

But yeah, vlogs are getting really good. Moving to Split has made wonders for them. Chris is also getting better and better in editing. I saw he even played a bit with mask transitions in one of the latest videos

Does he win at poker? He Plays 1k tourneys but he doesn't seem to have many scores over 1k?

At some point within 2015/2016 I'm pretty sure he was up around 120k lifetime (saw a graph, not sure on the legitimacy). Since then I think it's been pretty much downhill. I think his highest score was like 30k in 2015.

he's straight losing for like 20 months, dropped around 100-150k since his high point. very impressive with like 50$ abi...

By his own admission he also loses at the stream / youtube game. He stated that for every $1 he makes on twitch, he spends $1.5 on youtube. He is also not sponsored by the likes of Jivaro anymore, who were throwing money at streamers like it was going out of fashion for a while.

That PokerStars contract has to be very juicy.

When macropoker was still alive his graph was from 90k in profits to the negative side. He might be a winning bad reg in the smallest games but overall a losing player with his gameselection. And I really hope the stars deal is just a tickets to the bigger games or he is as a genuine idiot punting it away in the big games.

I was just under the impression that he sells the majority of his 1k tournies on that stake kings site. I saw his mark-up and it was insane too based on the bidding system. Not sure if it is still running at insane markup, but it was in the past.

If you had fanboys like his you'd have that mark up too.

People like to have something to sweat. I guess it's not much different to betting with a bookie. You know you're not getting the correct price but you want a sweat on the game.

Are there any other decent player/streamers besides tonka and bparis that sell on stakekings? I haven't bought any pieces before but I watch quite a bit of twitch poker and wouldn't mind some action.
I wish somebody like Talonchick sold action because she cleans up in the low stake banana games.

Jeff Gross, Courtiebee, occasionally Doug Polk. I don't know if bigdogpckt5s ever streams anymore, but he earned some notoriety for his 1.8 MU 80% packages lol.

Hi how exactly do these numbers work? If you sell at 1.8 does this mean you need 80% ROI for your backers to break even EV wise?

Gross would be a good call as he's a good player except for the fact that his voice tilts the crap out of me. I don't know what it is, he seems a really nice guy, but that voice...

Courtiebee, she seems too much of a button clicker to me, but maybe I'm judging too soon, I've only watched a couple of hours of her stream.

i've never even heard of courtiebee but apparently she's been a poker pro for 12 years, playing $200 hyper turbos, before switching to low/mid-stakes MTTs.

Yes, though the 80% I referred to was the total share of action being sold. Ex: for a 10k event, you collect $14.4k and keep 20% of yourself.

Not sure if you are searching just for StakeKings action, but lots of streamers are selling on PokerMarket too.

New vlog, their trainer flew to Croatia should be good for their progress to have someone physically there helping instead of only over emails

Sounds like one of the best freerolls ever.

Whether you ship a tourney or not you are still +4.4k

Great vlog today. Looks like their trainer is really putting them to work. If he was with them throughout the bet, I feel they'd have a really great shot. Really hope that Jaime particularly continues with this exercise and keeps some discipline. No excuses now if he wants to win this bet.

Also worth noting the near 100% positivity in the YouTube comments underneath, which is nice to see. I hope Jaime notes that when he puts in the work, people react positively. It's easy to dismiss online commentators as haters, but this proves that people are on his side and just hated seeing his previous half arsed approach where he seemed to be slacking off and making excuses. Maybe he can take some inspiration from that.

I hope they haven't wasted too much time already.. If they continue on like this, they're definitely in with a shot.

I have no idea why they didn't find a trainer or relocated themselves to a place where they could have the trainer in every day. It would make their bet so much easier, as we can see as soon as the guy flies in, no more pissing about walking to the mall for their "exercise", instead it is a 5hr hike up and down a steep hill with the pace set by the trainer.

Good to see some serious progress though, both for the bet and general health.

The difference in the comment section of the youtube vlogs is astounding. A few weeks ago they were FILLED with really really hateful things and now they're almost exclusively very nice comments. Never seen anything like it. Would be nice to see Jaime adress it because the difference in the comments is remarkable

Jaime IS ****ing ******ed for the Rousey-fight-discussion, though. So so far from reality..
