Perky putting up 150K. I guess if the brothers do an equal split of the 'winnings' then yeah it's 75K for Jaime.

But Jaime has the hardest part of the challenge so I would think he should be getting the bulk of the payout, maybe two thirds.

If it was me I would have tried for a bigger bet at the same odds to make it even more worthwhile. Like 10K to 0.5M LOL!

Matt confirmed on twitter it's even split - 75k each

Bill capped the bet at 3k. Although I'm not sure if Jaime and Matt received more action from others after the bet was booked.

I think if in a perfect world where they both have the discipline to eat perfectly for their goals, matt has the harder part of the challenge. adding 40-50 lbs at his height and body structure without just eating fast food 7 days a week for a year is going to be super tough. In reality it's possible jaime has a harder time due to (from my own experience knowing) the difficulty of giving up junk food and eating ~5-6 small, healthy veggies and protein meals a day. Add on the exercise and your'e going to be starving all day every day while force feeding yourself food you don't like and trying to down 4L+ of water a day

gaining 1lb a week is relatively easy if you ask me, he doesn't want to win the mr Olympia just to gain some ****in weight. if he has eating problems he still can drink 1000s of calories from soda and juices, shakes or whatever. trust me there is no methabolism that doesnt a let a person be overweight.

Oh I didn't see it was an equal split.

Matt just needs to eat 5K quality calories a day and do a good lifting program like 5x5, followed by 30mins cardio. He can put on 50 pounds in a year easy without getting overly fat.

Jaime has the food cravings to deal with which for a guy his size will be a nightmare to push through for the first couple of months. But if he is smart he will keep his calorie intake up so he isn't starving, then create a big deficit with lots of daily cardio and some weights too.

Exercise will be key though, they won't do it just by food amount (or lack thereof).

they are going to go about it in the most donk way possible, not a doubt in my mind.

i highly doubt matt will even do or know what 5x5 is

5k calories a day for Matt, are you f*cking nuts? He's going to get fat as f*ck eating 5k a day. There's pro bodybuilders who don't even bulk on 5k. Matt's a twig and probably has a little over 2k cals as maintenance. More than doubling that will result in saggy b*tch tits.

Majority of Pro bodybuilders are on juice so it's not really a good comparison

Steroids or not, one's diet has to be on point and excessive calories is just a waste of money, toilet paper and most importantly is causing a f*ck tonne of damage to your body and mind.

Assuming Matt's maintenance is like 2200cals or thereabouts, he shouldn't be eating more than a 1k surplus or he's going to f*ck his sh*t up badly.

Yea I agree. Earlier in the thread I said he would need ~3500cals a day. But if some days he wants to eat a whole pizza go ahead. He's basically going to need to put on ~5lbs a month

Or they are scared of "putting on fat".

It shouldn't be easy or fun. Eating/sleeping/lifting are all super important.
We are talking 3500+cals a day. 5+ meals. 5 eggs for breakfast, toast, and scoop of peanut butter. It's not supposed to feel comfortable. And then when you do workout 3/4x a week you focus on compound movements. Squat/Dl/bench/press/clean etc. 3x5 or 5x5

I bet you haven't eaten 5 eggs in a whole week let alone one morning.
So true, I used to make this excuse for myself and then I started eating pistachios and drinking milk every spare second I had and lifted heavy and I put on 30 lbs in 6 weeks lol. Granted it was way too much fat but it felt good to be able to do it. Not easy though. I did the stronglifts 5X5 thing, too.

Yeah it's on the high end, but they have a lot of ground to gain. I stated 5K to get the ball rolling....fast. And with the food being 95% quality ingredients, not junk. A lot also depends on speed of metabolsim. A young boy like Matt is probably going to have a very high one. There's a reason he's 8 stone wet through...

Also as said it was with the idea of incorporating a heavy lifting program to gain some muscle, strength and fat quickly. Those bodybuilders already have significant muscle and so won't see the same percentage gainz. Matt as a weakling newbie can have amazing beginner results if he hits it hard.

Plus the kid does want to put some fat on for this bet, it's 'free' weight that doesn't have to be earned. If he is something like 15% body fat now then he can go up to 20-25% without looking anything close to his brother (who must be 60%+).

Matt has to account for at least 50 pounds of this challenge imo, because Jaime sure as **** won't be like a twig in 1 year. Unless he get's his stomach Jimmy Stapled

you guys saying Jamie can lose 50-100lbs easily in a year have no clue lol go watch any1 of his vlogs he whines in every 1 of them about trying to lose weight and quit smoking but showed he is not capable of having any discipline in his life to even lose 5lbs the guy is a savage when it comes to eating, he's had a personal trainer, had meal plans and he ended up crying and giving up trying to be healthy over & over again
I wish the Staples good luck but there is 0% they win this would be awesome if they did but it wont happen unfortunately 150k is probably not enuff incentive for Jaime to be healthy

Agree with you . I don't know what world is he living but what he is trying to do is just not that easy as he may think. He basically has to give up on his life and habits for a year to pursue this and judging by his last try he lacks any motivation or self discipline in training or diet or anything . And now that there is additional pressure with given timeframe and money on line it's just gonna be 10x harder for him than it was the first time.
Worst thing tho that can come out of this is he tries and fails and that still will be so much better for him than not doing anything at all .
He takes no pride in proving anything to anyone so as far as he can come up with some good excuses to quit - he will quit , especially if it's only 3x Super Tuesday buy-ins for him on the line .

Yaboy, most guys can't give up porn even if they get E.D
But give them 75k usd, they will quit it.

Although right now jaime seems to be eating way too much on the VLOGS, i think he can do it.

Not to be offensive to Jaime...but having watched a couple of recent vlogs, he is still seems to be eating enormous portions and eating at least one meal a day in restaurants.

I can only imagine the amount of calories and you aren't controlling how that food is made. I know keto based diet isn't about calorie restriction as such, but giant portions created by chefs who are focused on taste not keto can't be the way to do it.

Seems a terrible way of going about losing a huge amount of weight.

In the end this is pretty simple. Babystapler needs to eat one of these for breakfast. And jumbostapler needs to stop eating these for breakfast.

Hey I agree with you there. Jaime's motivation and discipline will decide the outcome of this bet, which we have evidence isn't great. I was just sayin it is possible for a guy his size to lose a tonne of weight in a year.

inb4 he buys out for 2K and spends the other 1K on cheese burgers!
