Here's a posthumous nomination for Chad Brown which no one has mentioned yet.

How is it possible that Chip Reese hasn't been mentioned? He has to be at the top of the list.

I like Panka as well, but can he be on the list when he has only been in the poker public eye for less than a year? - or really just a few weeks for people who don't watch EPT live, because they have only finished broadcasting/releasing the PCA episodes just now.

Wasn't in the spotlight much, but everything I have heard and seen was very positive.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to come up with ten names that fit this criteria.

How has Greenstein been omitted from this thread, have misunderstood the question?

Dudes has donated to and helped fundraise so much for charity, is responsible for writing just about the best book on poker integrity, poker radio shows, was in loads of the live TV poker games and comes off as a nice respectable guy.

How about Greg Raymer?

I mean, does anyone "despise" him for being caught up in that sting?

Ike Haxton
Phil Galfond
Ben Sulsky
Kanu7
Phillip Gruissem
Fabian Quoss
Tobias Reinkemeier
Igor Kurganov
Johannes Strassmann (RIP)

The Germans are doing an amazing job with their charity work. Gruissem is basically the modern version of Greenstein. Much respect to those guys.

Has had controversy with borrowing money from full tilt and not paying it back after BF https://www.pokereagles.com/news/310...tilt-poker.php

I was just going to say this. Greenstein should be top 5 in most any legit list.

This was actually pretty tough to compile. 2+2 is SO filled with flames for anyone and everything that I had to really rack my brain to come up with people who have flown under the radar. In the past 10 years or so, the notable players I have seen take the least heat would be as follows, in no particular order:

1. Huck Seed
2. Erik Seidel
3. Allen Cunningham
4. Phil Galfond
5. Chad Brown, RIP
6. JC Tran
7. Dan Harrington
8. Chris Moneymaker
9. Kara Scott
10. Chip Reese, RIP

Honorable mention: Brandon Adams

Basically classy, quiet people who manage to win without being obnoxious and never find themselves in scandals.

Huck is just a cool dude. Erik, Allen and Phil are super humble, super polite people, Chad Brown and Chip Reese seemed like more of the same. I don't follow tournament poker at all but JC Tran seems pretty cool, quiet and humble despite being one of the most successful players of all time. Kinda the anti-Hellmuth, so he gets props for that from me and I've never seen anyone diss him. Kara Scott is beautiful and charming and we're all in love with her so she must be on this list as well. Chris Moneymaker was at the epicenter of the boom. Harrington is a class act who wrote a series of influential and beloved books.

I don't know Brandon at all but I've never seen anyone diss him and he seems very intelligent and cool. Like Huck, he gets bonus points as a beloved poker community figure for coming up with creative prop bets. I guess Jason Alexander, Brad Garrett et al. could be on this list if we're using celebrity players who have never been involved in scandals but they've never actually done anything notable, unlike say, Kara Scott.

I have heard people, specifically Vanessa Selbst, accuse Doyle of being "A sexist and every other -ist." She might have intended that to be facetious or at least hyperbolic, can't really remember the thread. It was in the TV forum about a hand they played together on HSP.

People trashed Patrik for multi-accounting in the past.

Edit: Actually, I'm not sure if flsexcduck made that post. Can't find it when I searched for it, so maybe I misremembered a thread about them playing on HSP. Apologies to her if I have misquoted something she wrote, or attributed a post someone else made to her.

Edit 2: Ah, it was on this thread.

She's not exactly wrong. Just look at the **** Todd Brunson says. Doyle just doesn't tweet or play as much.

I like Vanessa and consider myself a fan of hers (perhaps a rare thing ITT). I was just throwing it out there in response to the posting sharing the perception that Doyle is universally beloved.

What did Todd say that was offensive?
