Sad news, that I only just saw. Played with him a year or so back at a Wynn Series. Didn't know who he was at the time, but it was so obvious he was a Poker personality that I looked him up afterwards. Busted him too in that Tournament.

He's one of the few people whose personality seemed to get stronger as he grew with age,and treated everyone with the respect they deserved, regardless of age sex or race.

RIP Tony, stay funny.
very well said, I couldn't agree more

He had a very interesting life. Not many people know but his daughter was a victim of Christopher Wilder during this cross country killing spree where he was chased by the FBI the whole way.

I still can't believe he took the time to send us all those books. Wish I got a chance to meet him.

+1

I still read it in the bathroom. He signed it, wrote a personal note, and shipped it for free.

Paul Harris is one of conjuring's great minds. He was one of the consultants behind David Blaine's early breakthrough TV specials.

I was flicking through one of his books today when I came across this passage:

"Big Tony (AKA Tony Korfman) currently manages the "Gold
Strike Inn Casino and Escort Service" in Boulder City, Nevada near
Hoover Dam. In the short time Big Tony's been in charge he's
managed to double its number of customers by the deceptively
simple practice of putting mirrors on the walls.
"Big's" business career started small when he first began selling
stale doughnuts to midgets for use as toilet seats. From there he took
a shot at show biz by performing the world's first pickpocket act
without the aid of audience participation. Big Tony was able to
accomplish this remarkable feat by cleverly stealing his own watch —
then acting amazed when he discovered it missing."

Same guy, do you suppose?
