Re: Tim West AKA Tmay420 new Lock Poker Pro: Past shady dealings

sketchy is a good dude, no doubt about that. and maybe tim is too but his handling of this has been a complete joke. sometimes good people do bad things and sometimes it's hard for friends of those people to come to terms with what they have done. You see this all across poker with doyle defending howard, with practically everyone defending zeejustin and his laughable behavior and on and on it goes with scammers, multiaccounters, etc. Hell, I was still friends with a guy that was always wanting to card share on aim while playing ten years ago. Until all of us develop a absolute zero tolerance policy towards scummy behavior and absolutely ostricize the people that perpetrate this on our community, we're going to keep seeing more and more of it.

Yup, but unlike Tim I didn't act like a complete ******* when I was in the wrong. Also, Tim is still able to fix this "mistake" yet he chooses not to.

Considering Sketchy used to tell people to get aids when they won hands against him and once said that he would beat me up irl after I won a flip against him at a super turbo ft this is hardly surprising.

Re: Tim West AKA Tmay420 new Lock Poker Pro: Past shady dealings

question: what would have happened if tmay busted day 2? would the people who got their pieces refunded pay tim his piece back cause they had the intention of making a big deal about getting paid their share if he scored? i sincerely doubt it, and the fact that the did it after day 1 and offered freerolls is entirely different than if he was further along, esp since he would have had 0% of himself. like stealthmunk said in that thread, not so clearcut as a lot of people making it out to be, and one way to look at it is the people who bought action essentially decided to try to freeroll tim for his carelessness after the error was discovered.

He may have come across as a dbag, and maybe he doesn't deserve to be a sponsored pro anywhere if he consistently behaves abrasively, but still people can lash out when they get attacked and they feel they are not in the wrong, so not knowing much else about him I think he's not even close to the worst the poker world has to offer.

Ask for stake. Significantly improve equity. Give stake back. Profit.

To me, that's a passive endorsement of cheating by a member of Lock Pro "Elite." That's right, the site endorses cheaters and cheating.

It's really really incredible that people will still actually even play there. The collective memory of the poker community is just absurdly short, I guess. And when you're one of the only sites willing to operate in the US, you're gonna get business. I just hope no one complains when Lock gets seized a la FTP or even just shuts down on its own accord and no one ever sees a cent of their money.
I believe there were also articles about how the people running the site have had shady pasts in business dealings as well so I guess it's not that surprising to hire some questionable employees

lol sketchy wtf is wrong with you? Gz, TMay, a scammer, makes himself look terrible and has now made multiple friends look terrible for defending him.

All this could have been resolved by just owning up for being careless. Unreal.

This is a classic case where the number of haters is matched only by the number of people who need to get a life. And the haters who need to get a life who keep posting are ten times worse than anything Tim might have done. Worry about your own **** for a change. I'm also guessing that too many of you are putting Tim down just to try and make yourselves feel better. Multiple threads. Really? End of free psychology consult. Have a nice day.

a pretty easily rectified mistake it would appear. "damn i fked up, but it's pretty clear i owe this guy 18k. man, harsh, but lesson learned, thank god i shipped 300k a week or so before." but nah, his response "take a few measily k for "goodwill", if you dont accept that then fk ya. i'm HOI".

no one doubts that his intentions weren't to scam, but he did steal in the end.

by defending him you're saying you're ok with what he did. why don't you condemn him or stay out of it? unless you dont think he did wrong after all?
