Re: Fight for Poker Rights: Weekend of May 28th (see post #1 for today's plan)

May 28, 2011

I recorded a video with an update on the poker rights fight, plus some Q&A. It's at www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGZ0ZqBMJGA.

Sent an e-mail to the financial services committee. If I've already sent the pre-written e-mails should I continue to do so? How many times is considered excessive?

If you haven't sent one in the past 30 days, it's okay to send one now...especially as we had the Fly-In since the last letter. If you've sent one within the last month but over two weeks ago, I'd send it but would tweak it a bit first.

I just spam. They don't answer my followups anyway. Eventually aides are going to have spent more time copy and pasting the generic response and deleting emails/fb posts then if they actually gave a response. When they realize this... probably nothing will happen, but atleast it will piss them off a little.

What are you fighting for? I hope its not for a company that is not in the USA. Maybe you should move to the islands and have a picket line, with signs and blow horns.

I am fighting for the right to play.

All proposed legislation introduced to date allows U.S. based interests into the market. This is as it must be, as the pre-Black Friday status quo of reverse protectionism was clearly unstable and doomed to failure in the long run.

I understand, but will you ever trust online company's that are not USA based?

I don't think I could ever deposit again, my money is safe in my hands.

The trust is gone.

Please don't derail this thread. This thread for people who want to take a few minutes of their day to help the cause. There are many other threads that have discussed this.

I'm not trying to derail the thread. I'm just asking questions. I'm hurt because of black friday as well. Nobody respects us. They think we are all gamblers and idiots. They don't know the real skill set it takes to play 16 tables on 2 different sites at once.

PokahBlows: see the hurt in my name. I'm hurt and dudes are still fighting. Obama plays poker and we can't get any love.

Our future is wsop.com, bellagio.com. I can't wait till online is back.

But fulltilt and pokerstars will never get a dollar from me. I despise those sites. They all ran to the UK, pussies.
