thoughts about collusion in big games online?

I'm locking the other thread about this because there was no reason to believe that any of the people that are accused of colluding actually are.

I'm not saying collusion isn't happening, or couldn't be happening, or that people playing in these games sitting at the same table aren't sharing pieces of each other. I'm just saying that without any evidence, it's not appropriate to have a thread with these claims that specific people are colluding/cheating whatever. The type of activity discussed in that thread has happened before (i.e. A warning about ADZ124), but there's no evidence that it has ever happened with any of the people being talked about here, and no reason to think that it ever has.

Please feel free to discuss the implications of good friends playing together at the same table, the possibility of people cheating, colluding, sharing pieces of each other while playing in the same game, etc., just avoid accusing specific people of doing this without anything to back it up.

Is it wrong to have ppl standing over you discussing hands live while they are in progress? i.e. "sweaters"

Exactly you;d have to be pretty stupid to think otherwise.

Also I think it was very obv what gus was implying. I don;t see how a mod could claim gus wasn't implying cheating...

If you read the rest of the hand history you can read where Gus says he agrees that he thinks it was collusion.

Swapping action while playing in the same game is clearly unethical if it is not public knowledge to the others at the table.

Ya this goes on tons at high limits but you rarely hear about it. Much like before you never heard about multiaccounting when many of the top players were doing it before it was frowned on.

Re: thoughs about collusion in big games online?

Having seen first hand 2 regular MSNL players share hold card information while playing at the same table, I've got not reason not to believe that it hasn't/doesn't go on at HSNL.

Dwan/Dangs/Galfond have won and lost some of the biggest online pots in history together. I don't think there's much possibility of anything unethical occuring between them

You realize that if players are colluding it doesn;t matter what goes on between them in terms of cash flow right? DUCY?

BTW not implying any of those players do. Just that this logic is 100% false.

collusion never happens at any stakes for the same reason you can not accuse dwan , galfond and urindanger . Cause they say they dont .

Re: thoughts about collusion in big games online?

This question still hasn't been answered by the high stakes players:

Is swapping pieces with other players while you play in the same game ethical?
