I know both the writer and Thor himself. He gave me a signed copy when we were in Barcelona 1,5 year ago. He was happy they way the book is written even if he would have liked more stories in it. Hopefully this is something that will be changed when they do the translation.
Thor is one of the best guys I know. He's been like a father to me on the tour. Always looked out for me and telling me who I can trust and not. He's a fighter though and I'm 100% sure he wont let this get to him. He will be as happy as always and cheerful!
I was fortunate to get to know Thor on the EPT. He is, as others have said, one of the truly wonderful guys and gentlemen of poker. He is kind and gracious with everybody and though I barely knew him, he'd always greet me like a long-lost friend.
I will think good thoughts for Thor and his family.
Absolutely horrible news. I got to know Thor during the 2007 WSOP and we have been friends ever since. We only see each other once og twice every year, but he's always such a fantastic guy. I'm so sad to hear this. Get well Thor!
