Shocking news.

Lovely, funny fella. Always a pleasure to give my chips to him.

Came out with one the funniest lines in a post tournament interview. (paraphrased)

Interviewer: "Congratulations on winning a million dollars Thor, what are you going to do with it?"

Thor: "Well, I think I'll pay some debts"

"What about the rest?"

"They can wait"

Hope he's as comfortable as it can be hoped.

Hope he can still have a long life full of happiness, all my saved up run good to him.

Sad news.. According to what iv read in the newspaper the cancer is not curable, and he has max 2 years left.

Oh wow, that's terrible news.

Back when I worked as a poker journalist, I had the pleasure of interviewing Thor for a magazine. That man had the most awesome stories to tell and it seemed that he for sure had live his life for the max. Absolute degen legend who insta deserves a spot in the poker hall of fame (but probably won't get one since those ****s seem to only accept americans).

I hope they can find some miracle cure, he's a joy to have around on the circuit.

edit: someone needs to co-write this guy's autobiography. It'd make a hell of a book.

Ive read it. Its a fun read, but should have been a little bigger.

Yeah, it's really good. A shame it hasn't been translated though, but that may be down to it being released by a tiny publisher. The writer is a former poker player, so I think that really helped with understanding Thor.

Sad, he's a tremendous amount of fun at the table and a real class act in my limited experiences with him over the last few WSOPs.

So sad!! Guy is awesome and everybody loves him!!
