Things You Would do to keep the Fish playing

I like to say that i have done stuff in the past to keep the fish in the game I'm on, like buying him drink, complementing and sympathizing as to how unlucky he is, but I never thought i would go as low as this.

I was playing $9/$18 LHE at the Commerce casino and there is this big fish on my right that's just giving away his money, so we are all just taking turns taking his money and we want to get more. Then suddenly he farted , and at the spur of the moment I've decided to own it and said "Ooops Sorry guys, i ate too much" even though everybody knows the big fish is the one who farted. Sure enough the fish stayed and dumped another $500 before he realized limit holdem is not for him, after he left one guy gave me a high five.

As I was driving home I felt this disgust about myself and thinking, "Wow I cant believe I just did that", but then I looked at my wallet and saw an extra $430, i just shrugged it off and vowed to do it again.

Anyway, please feel free to share your experience if you have done things to keep the fish in the game.

i always just just agree with their thought process on every hand. fish always feel they got coolered or sucked out on...etc. i usually try and agree with their logic as much as possible, so they will continue to play "correctly" and win it back.

I once acted as a fishes double to get him out of doing National Service in the army, then I raised his kids for him, then I nailed a fat chick while he pulled her hot friend, to keep him playing in the $27.32/$54.64 LHE game at Foxwoods.

I don't care if that's true or not, I have never laughed at anything on a forum as much as that.

Lol@ "'dumped' another $500" as well, great choice of words.

Re: Things You Would do to keep the Fish playing

Its hilarious when i sit down especially when its a table change in a live mtt. I sit down and make a lot of noise. I raise then start to chat and say dumb things to tilt the table.

I remember 1 dudes KK lost to AJ aip for like a 30bb shove pre. I looked at the dude with KK who was 2 to my let and said "Standard" with a smile on my face.

Then hes like you must be a internet kid. Then i told him i played for cigarettes in jail to begin my career.

But i u want to keep the fish at the table. Do what that dude said just sit back and hear the cryin from them when they lose a pot. You know they r donks, but simply nod and agree to their reasoning. I keep it friendly in cash games, but donkaments i just dont care what people think.

One time just to keep a fish playing on the 33/66 game at monte carlo I did Jury duty, 100 hours of court ordered community service, and broke up with his girlfriend for him.

Looking back, i think it was worth it.

in the olden days we used to give them a tab

when my old manager was a trainee noob the older ones used to kidnap him and stick him in the car boot and take him up the snooker hall and give him a tab

I dunno why they have $9/$18, Hawaain Gardens, Pechanga and other casino spreads $8/$16, only Commerce does that, anyway here a link to prove and you can call Commerce too to verify $9/$18 Limit hold em.

I believe its for dealer tips that why they have these $4/$8, $8/$16 and $9/$18 Limit hold em, players are more incline to tip with dollar chips than $5 chips.
