Thang Luu "breaks" dealers hand at wsop cash game

Two players and one dealer told me tonight that a player in the omaha/8b game high limit at the Rio. Hit the dealer in the hand as the dealers hand was resting on the table he took his fist and slammed it down on the dealers hand and broke some bones in the dealers hand, metro came and cuffed the guy right in the poker room and took him to jail. I was told it was an Asian guy does any one know who the dealer was or the player?

Perhaps Jason Alexander? Jerry Seinfeld broke both of his bookie's hands after the bookie didn't pay up on a bet.

Seriously? Man what kind of a a-hole you`d have to be to something like that.

Any background on the reasons why he did it? I can`t think of any legit reason (if it was poker related)

Re: player breaks dealers hand at wsop cash game

I have to give a serious post now fwiw.

He SHOULD BE punished more so than a regular handbreaking because I mean the dealers hands are a MAIN part of his livlihood. Its pretty BS that some douche clown would do this. Fade your bad beat and move on.

I hope you die hand breaker!

Re: player breaks dealers hand at wsop cash game

I just emailed a friend of mine who is a floorman @ the WSOP; here's what he had to say:

"This is true; the same night a another player was arrested for following a dealer when he went on break and threw a full bottle of gatorade at him.

I've met some bad dealers and been annoyed by some but I cant remember wanting to harm them. The guy that got his hand broke is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and a good dealer. There were 2 players in the hand the - 1 seat and the 9 seat - on the showdown the guy in the one seat says to the dealer I cant see his cards - the dealer took the cards and slid them forward so he could see them - the player in the 9 seat then made a fist and smashed the dealers hand saying don't ever touch my cards he came down right on top of his hand and it broke the bones between the knuckles and wrist."
