I went to 2-5 game and was put in seat 9 while this guy Iceman was on seat 10. He had all this shiny "bling" crap on, and was smacking his lips while chewing gum and splattering spit all over me while he talked. I feel bad for saying this because he was genuinely a nice guy, but man it was really gross sitting next to him and I changed seats as soon as possible. I do not wish to play with him again. Incidentally, he also good-naturedly berated me when I busted him with a less-than-premium starting hand talking about how I see guys playing any two on TV but eventually I'll learn real poker. (The hand was 42o, and a loose opener raised and had a caller, so I 3-bet "light", and Iceman was in the blind with 10bb's and was all in calling my 3-bet with AJ.)

Well back here in 2011 with rest of us The Ice Man is nowhere near a 10-20 game. Those Venetian games were over 2 years ago and The Ice Man was really the only thing that ever allowed that game to go consistently. Unfortunately Ice was a little confused as to why everybody wanted to play with him.

And now he can barely scrape together a 2-5 min buy. Hes a summer away from strictly rolling around on the scooter full time every June at the rio

So I'm playing 5-10 at Rio today when a guy from Alabama at my table sees Teddy and calls out to him. Teddy comes over to talk a bit and work his game, then the following conversation ensues:

Alabama: You still in the tournament?
Teddy: Naw, man, I got bad beat HARD, listen to this. I raise with pocket jacks, and I got like 160k, this guy calls me out of the blinds, he has like 190k. Flop comes out J42r, I bet 8k, to show him I'm not messing around, and he checkraises me all in. I'm like, OK, I call, I got jacks, and all he has is Ace-Ten. Not even a flush draw! Turn Q, river K. That's how they done me this year. I literally regurgitated. Not right there, but almost. I walked over to the garbage can and regurgitated right there. ESPN cameras were there and everything. I asked them not to show that though, so you won't be seeing that on ESPN.
Alabama: WOW! that's brutal, man.
Me: ...and quite convenient!
Teddy: Yeah, so then I go home to calm down, I come back out, I see him playing 75-150 and I'm like Man, that's the guy who took all my MONEY".
Alabama: So did you get your money back?
Teddy: That's how I always do it, in the cash games. But yeah, if I win that pot, I got 400 thousand chips, chip leader, baby! I can just coast to the final table.
Me: So...you bet 8k, and he checkraised you all in?
Teddy: Yeah, then he goes runner-runner on me.
Me: You bet 8k, and he checkraised you to 160k...with Ace-ten...on a J42 rainbow board.
Teddy: Yeah, he was trying to push me around, trying to bluff the Iceman!
Me: You should have tried flatbarreling. (Table starts laughing!)
Teddy then conveniently gets a phone call, never comes back by my table, instead sitting in a 2-5 game for about 20 minutes with what looked to be about $300, then walking around for 45 minutes , coming back,and picking up.

LOL, yeah, I just decided to make a SUPER detailed post about him and something he said for no other reason than to attack him, even though I say nothing specifically bad about him. How exactly would pictures help? Do you doubt I was at the Rio and could have possibly seen him there? Does this NOT sound like something Teddy would say/do given what most people say about him? Maybe you just doubt I play 5-10?

He is often on DD radio show, last night also he comes out as a really nice guy ofcourse he is out of this world delusional but he seems geniun nice fellow. When reading this I got a feeling of dejavu....Can't say 100% for sure, but there's a decent chance I've heard a story similar to this from him a few years back about his main event exit. Definitely a story involving top set being cracked...Rest of the details a little hazier cuz it's been awhile and I really have no reason to remember any teddy specifics.
