Professional gamblers, even polite and well spoken ones, lie about their exploits. Grey's story was cool, fun to listen to, but it wouldn't surprise me to learn it was full of exaggerations.
Haven't you noticed the old time big game players all sort of prop each other up in the public eye and pretend they are all winning players, when certainly some of them are not? I'm reminded of even players like Barry thinking/claiming that Chip Reece was a hugely winning online player, but come to find out (and correct me if I'm wrong) all the accounts associated with him were 6 figure losers for the periods they were tracked.
So in Grey's account, even though he admits they got lucky, they all made out great, and Beal was basically a fool. One of those foolish self-made billionaires who carries on like an idiot and has no idea when he is totally outclassed or being taken advantage of. Sure. And maybe it's true... I'm just saying, I wouldn't be shocked if it wasn't true.
